Chapter 99 You Like Men?
In the room, Hulk held a Coke in his left hand and a hamburger in his right, his face completely devoid of the unhappiness he'd shown during the battle, happily munching away.
"Aren't you full?"
Finney Hellseg asked worriedly, watching Hulk devour his food. He'd eaten quite a lot of fried chicken wraps before the fight.
"Eating, I like it!"
Hulk replied, his mouth stuffed full, his muscular belly showing no sign of being overweight.
"Take it easy, don't eat too much."
Finney had bought enough snacks for several days, but judging by Hulk's appetite, he'd probably finish them all before tonight.
He wasn't concerned about the money, but rather about Hulk becoming overweight. Thinking of the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, Finney looked at Hulk's physique with concern.
By the time Hulk finished everything, it was almost midnight, but he still showed no signs of turning back.
"Hulk, isn't Banner coming out?"
Finney looked at the energetic Hulk, worried about what to do if Hulk didn't return to his normal routine tonight. Was he supposed to stay here and wait?!
"Banner, go to sleep!"
Hulk replied lazily, lying on the sofa. After eating so much, he finally looked a little full.
Hearing Hulk's answer, Finney pondered. He was still uneasy about leaving Hulk alone here, and he also needed to find a way to explain things to Banner when he recovered, to get him to let Hulk out again.
So, after thinking it over, Finney decided not to go home tonight, but he needed to inform Skye first.
In the yard, Finney dialed Skye's number.
"Hello!"
Skye's voice sounded tired. Although Finney had warned her many times to train in moderation, she was never so obedient.
"It's me, Finney!"
Finney looked helpless upon hearing Skye's voice and couldn't help but ask again, "Have you been practicing your abilities again?"
"If you keep going like this, your body will have problems!"
Although the equipment Tony made can effectively reduce the damage Skye suffers from using her abilities, it cannot be completely eliminated. Such frequent use will cause problems sooner or later.
"Okay!"
Skye's somewhat perfunctory reply came through, then she changed the subject, asking, "Where are you now? Why aren't you back yet?"
"I might not be going back tonight!"
"What!?"
Skye's voice suddenly changed slightly, then she asked urgently, "Where are you? Who are you with? Why aren't you back?"
Finney noticed the change in Skye's tone, but assumed she was worried, and comforted her, "I'm fine, a friend needs me to look after him, so I won't be going back tonight."
"A friend?"
Skye's voice seemed increasingly tense, with a strange undertone, and she continued, "Your classmate?"
Although Finney sensed something was off about Skye, he still answered, "No, a new friend, why?"
"Finney..."
Skye's voice became increasingly strange, as if she was hesitating about something, but finally seemed to have made up her mind, continuing, "You need to know, you're still young, and you need to be careful about things like girlfriends..."
"Wait!"
Finney interrupted Skye abruptly, saying in a strange tone, "What are you talking about? My friend is a guy!"
"You like men?"
Skye's tone was full of surprise.
"You're the one who likes men!" As soon as she said that, Finney immediately felt awkward. Skye was a woman, so liking men didn't seem wrong, but saying she liked women felt strange.
"What are you thinking!"
Finney realized that Skye probably misunderstood him and some girl planning to stay out all night, and said irritably, "My friend has some health problems and needs someone to look after him."
Then, remembering Skye's earlier words, he added, "Also, I'm not young!"
Skye blushed deeply, feeling extremely embarrassed. She was thankful they were on the phone and couldn't see each other's expressions, otherwise she would have wanted to disappear into a crack in the ground.
As for a crack that was too small to disappear into!?
With the power of shockwaves, she could create a canyon!
"Ahem, I understand. Take good care of your friend. I'll hang up now!" Feeling embarrassed, Skye didn't dare to talk any longer. After indicating that she understood, she quickly hung up the phone, leaving a speechless Finney.
Looking at his phone, Finney shook his head, a thought seeming to form in his mind, but he felt it was unlikely.
He sighed and went back inside. Hulk was engrossed in watching TV; Finney glanced at it and saw it was an animated show.
Finney didn't think much of it and went to sit next to Hulk to watch with him.
That night, Hulk didn't transform back into Banner even after falling asleep. Seeing this, Finney stopped waiting and lay down on another sofa, also falling asleep.
The next day, when Finney woke up, he immediately checked on Hulk, finding him sprawled on the floor, drooling beside his head—he had no idea what Hulk was dreaming about.
Looking at Hulk, Finney rubbed his head in exasperation. When Hulk didn't come out, he hoped he would, but if Hulk kept coming out, he was worried about how to handle the situation.
People weren't yet at the point where they could accept Hulk; if Hulk stood outside like this, it would likely cause a major problem immediately.
Finney understood he couldn't keep watching Hulk indefinitely. He had two options: get people to accept Hulk's existence, or have Hulk and Banner take turns appearing.
Finney preferred the first solution for a permanent fix. However,
getting people to accept Hulk was a problem. Hulk was immature, easily angered due to his constitution, and excessively strong.
Without a reliable companion, he might be manipulated.
As for the second option, Finney looked at Hulk, trying to figure out how to persuade them.
After washing up and buying breakfast, he still hadn't found a perfect solution.
Hulk woke up, seemingly drawn by the aroma of food.
His dazed eyes scanned his surroundings, seemingly oblivious to the situation, until he saw Finney.
Getting up, he looked at the breakfast Finney had bought and showed anticipation.
…
Hulk's presence lasted far longer than Finney had anticipated. For three whole days, Finney was practically inseparable from Hulk, taking him to secluded places to fight during the day and returning to the villa at night to watch TV and sleep with him.
Until the evening of the third day, while the two were watching cartoons in the house, Hulk suddenly said, "Banner, come out!"
Then, after a reluctant look at Finney and the TV, his body curled up, slowly shrinking until he finally transformed back into Banner.
Looking at Banner, Finney breathed a sigh of relief. He had really worried that Banner would never be able to transform back, and if that happened, he would have to quickly consider making Hulk a superhero like Tony.
"You're finally awake!"
Finney said wearily, looking at the bewildered Banner who had opened his eyes.
