Chapter 69 - Chapter 68

Chapter 68 First Encounter with the Black Widow

After his initial shock, Finney felt a headache coming on. The thing in his arms was probably more dangerous than the bomb below.

And somehow, the Black Widow, who had been dragged and pulled onto him, wrapped her arms around his neck, her incredibly flexible body twisting herself into a princess carry.

Her pale thighs were laid out in front of him, making them look like an intimate couple.

It had to be said, however, that the Black Widow had a truly stunning figure.

Her curves were undeniable, and her body was exceptionally supple. Wearing her uniform, she gave no indication that she was the woman who could kick a strong man like Ivan to the ground.

"If I'm not mistaken, should I call you Mr. Finney, the mysterious Silver Knight?"

The Black Widow brought her alluring face even closer to Finney.

Finney's heart sank. A fleeting impulse crossed his mind to throw her off, but thankfully he resisted. Even if he managed to make her forget her name, she had probably already reported the situation.

So, in a bad mood, he asked, "So, how did you know, Agent?"

S.H.I.E.L.D. is always an organization that would rather kill a thousand innocent people than let one guilty person go free; even if it's just suspicion, they will eventually investigate thoroughly.

Finney already had a rough idea of where the problem lay. It was either Tony or Pepper; Skye and Kamar-Taj had absolutely no opportunity to contact Natasha.

Moreover, Natasha had been working undercover by Pepper's side all this time, so it was most likely that Pepper had accidentally exposed him.

Finney hadn't intended to keep his identity a secret forever, but he hadn't expected it to be exposed so quickly. He didn't blame Pepper for her decision; after all, when he told her, he had to consider the risk of being exposed.

Most importantly, Finney believed Pepper hadn't intentionally exposed herself; hiding from an elite undercover agent was no easy feat.

Natasha's eyes narrowed slightly. She hadn't even had a chance to reveal her identity yet, but Finney recognized her as an agent at a glance.

Remembering this information, Natasha smiled brightly and moved closer to Finney, saying sweetly, "Looks like you're not going to deny it."

Seeing the Black Widow practically snuggling into his arms, Finney grew increasingly annoyed. Unlike his female classmates who only clung to him, the Black Widow's approach was malicious.

So, without hesitation, Finney suddenly accelerated into the air, then flung the Black Widow down.

As she gasped and tried to retaliate, he grabbed her leg and dangled her upside down in the air.

It's worth mentioning that gravity in the Marvel universe is normal. While the underwear might be a bit problematic, the skirt is fine; at least it doesn't defy gravity. Wearing a business skirt, while hanging upside down, it revealed her... well, let's just say it wasn't her.

Finney tilted her head slightly, suddenly feeling that what she was doing might be a bit excessive, and then glanced again.

  Tsk, it's purple, too.

Natasha felt a chill run down her spine. She didn't feel ashamed or anything; she'd seen all sorts of positions before. She just didn't understand why Finney had suddenly attacked her.

  "Can we talk this out?"

Hanging upside down, Natasha didn't dare to make any other movements. Without any equipment, falling from this height would either kill her or cripple her.

Now, she needed to understand why Finney had suddenly treated her like this.

The explosion only lasted a short while, and Finney hadn't really intended to do anything to Black Widow. After the explosion ended, she landed on the ground in that position and then threw Natasha down.

With a nimble flip, Natasha landed safely.

The feeling of being grounded clearly reassured her considerably. Looking at Finney, who floated high above her, she was unsure of his thoughts.

"Our director would like to get to know you. If it's convenient, could we exchange contact information?"

So, Natasha decided to get straight to the point. Her intuition told her that Finney seemed to know something about S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Nick Fury wants to see me…"

Finney wasn't too surprised. This bald, one-eyed director of S.H.I.E.L.D., while imitating the Ancient One's hair and Odin's eyes, was far less powerful than either of them.

Moreover, being infiltrated by Hydra for so many years without being discovered made him a rather incompetent director.

However, Nick Fury was commendable in one aspect: he genuinely wanted to maintain Earth's safety and did his best to protect it, even if it didn't always yield good results.

Finney weighed the pros and cons of meeting Nick. At this point, contact wasn't a big deal. Having witnessed the combined power of 'Golden Grand Evolution' and 'Explosion Magic,' his ego had actually inflated considerably.

If you push him too far, he might unleash a 'Explosion Mod' on S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and see who can't take it first.

"Give me his contact information, I'll contact him when I have time."

In the end, Finney decided to meet Nick Fury. Besides wanting to see if he could solve the 'Obelisk' problem, he also wanted to know something else.

When Captain Marvel left Earth, she left the Flerken behind. This guy was quite powerful; if he could find a way to trick it into becoming a pet, his family's safety would be guaranteed.

Moreover, it looked like an orange cat, which would not only be excellent at hiding, but his parents also particularly liked cats.

Finding such a mobile and generic-looking creature using a compass would be difficult; it would be better to find Nick and get some information first.

Hearing Finney's words, Natasha breathed a sigh of relief and immediately pulled a cell phone from her pocket, replying, "Only a special number can contact him."

Finney landed on the ground, looked at Natasha's phone suspiciously, and didn't take it, saying, "It must have location tracking or eavesdropping functions, right?"

"Never mind, if he wants to contact me, let Tony notify me."

Finney still held onto a sliver of hope. If possible, he didn't want to completely expose his identity; even if he did, he wanted to keep it within reasonable limits.

Using this phone, if Hydra also had the authority to track and decrypt, it would be better to have Nick Fury take the initiative to contact him.

Seeing that Finney wasn't going to take the phone, Natasha didn't mind. She could tell that Finney was already willing to make contact, which meant her mission was complete.

Just then, Tony and Rhodes, carrying Pepper, landed on the ground. Seeing Finney and Natasha talking, Tony couldn't help but joke,

"Want me to introduce you to my employee?"

"She's not your employee!" Finney glared at Tony, annoyed. After all, his identity had been exposed because of these two, so he bluntly retorted, "She's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and she didn't even know she'd been infiltrated for so long.

I really don't know how someone can still call themselves a genius!"
