Chapter 52 - Chapter 52

  Chapter 52 Travel and Search

Finney nodded in understanding. Even if Tony couldn't get it, it wouldn't matter; they could always find a way to trade with Nick Fury later.

"Remember, never touch that thing with your body, it's very dangerous,"

Finney reminded him again. The 'Obelisk' was a deadly weapon for everyone on Earth.

Tony acknowledged and noted it down, then summarized Finney's meaning:

"So, next I need to find these S.H.I.E.L.D. people, get my father's belongings from them, then solve the clues and create the new element?"

"Actually, it doesn't have to be that complicated!"

Finney racked his brains for a moment and said, "The blueprints for the new element seem to be hidden in an architectural model. Did your father have any famous designs in this area?" "

  The 1974 Stark Industries Exhibition!"

Tony blurted out. Actually, he had recently been considering whether to hold another exhibition to leave something behind for the world.

  "Yes, that's it."

Finney nodded, then continued, "Anyway, you need to filter out some things from this model and design it into a new element's structure."

  "Are you sure?"

Tony was skeptical. He remembered that the model was kept in a storage room in the company, and it actually contained a new element!?

"Why don't you try it yourself first!"

Finney replied impatiently. Although if it were really easy, it should have been discovered long ago. After all, discovering a new element from an architectural model is very difficult.

Tony opened his mouth but didn't say anything. Anyway, the model was in the company, and he would go and get it later to study it carefully.

"In short, study it as soon as possible, and then hurry up and build the new armor!"

Finney urged. He didn't have much hope for the spirit magic anymore, so he might as well pin his hopes on the system's fifth skill.

After the Iron Monger incident and the past few months of hard work, he had accumulated a lot of experience. If he could gain more experience, he still had a chance to draw the fifth skill before the Abomination appeared.

Tony was somewhat puzzled as to why Finney was urging him to research the new armor, but he didn't ask. Even without Finney's urging, he wouldn't have fallen behind on this process.

Leaving Tony's workshop, Finney felt like he'd forgotten something, until the next day when he saw a news report on TV about whether Iron Man was the only one, and suddenly remembered the old Russian man with the whip.

Finney thought for a moment and didn't remind him again. He wasn't Tony's babysitter, worrying about everything. He'd already told him about the new elements enough; he couldn't possibly warn him about every danger.

Tony was already in a much better state than in the original storyline. If he still couldn't face danger and respond promptly, he wouldn't survive.

Since telling Skye about her biological parents, she had been somewhat depressed. Knowing that school would be out for a week for spring break in a few days, he decided to take Skye out to cheer her up. "

  …

Finnie, are you really not coming with us?"

Several girls looked at Finnie with disappointment. With the holidays approaching, they wanted to invite Finnie for a romantic trip, though who would actually succeed in creating a romantic atmosphere was another matter.

"Sorry, I'm going with my family."

Finnie smiled apologetically, fully aware of their little schemes. Actually, if Skye hadn't been in such a bad mood, he might have been tempted.

After saying goodbye to the restless teenage girls, Finnie returned home. Skye was squatting on the sofa, hugging her knees, watching TV, but her blank stare and the lingerie commercials clearly showed her mind wasn't on it at all. It was

n't until Finnie sat down beside her that she reacted: "You're back!"

"Pack your things, let's go on a trip together tomorrow!"

Hearing Finnie's words, Skye was taken aback, asking with some surprise, "Why the sudden trip? Are you going to see your parents?"

"No, I'm not going to see them."

Finney shook his head. Although he wanted to help Skye cheer up, he also wanted to take care of another matter at the same time, so he said, "It's just a trip to clear my head."

Skye knew Finney was actually worried about her, and she was touched. She said, "I'm fine, Finney, don't worry about me."

"Alright, alright, enough talk. We're leaving tomorrow morning, get your passports ready!"

Finney waved his hand, indicating that there was no need for further discussion. He then returned to his room, found a world map, and took out a compass.

He carefully considered the city where Skye could awaken her powers, then looked in the direction indicated by the compass and drew a preliminary route based on the map.

  "Hopefully I'll find it!"

Finney thought silently, putting away the compass. Actually, he just wanted to narrow down the search area; if he couldn't find it, it wouldn't matter, as there was still plenty of time.

The next morning, a somewhat dazed Skye packed her luggage and went to the airport with Finney. Since it was a trip to clear her head, she couldn't just open a portal directly; that kind of trip would be soulless.

Of course, it was also related to the fact that he couldn't open the portal accurately.

After registering and going through security, Skye, looking at her plane ticket, couldn't help but ask, "Finnie, why are we going to Spain?"

Finnie didn't want to tell Skye yet that it was to find the place where she would awaken her powers, not wanting to bother her any further, so she casually replied, "Just picked a random place, you've never been there anyway."

Skye didn't suspect anything, her mood brightening considerably with the upcoming trip.

The plane flew smoothly, encountering neither bad weather nor hijacking, and landed safely.

Looking at the unfamiliar city, Skye's eyes were full of anticipation.

The two found a hotel and checked in, spending the next two days sightseeing in the country. Because Tony announced he would become Iron Man, Stark Industries' stock soared, and the two had accumulated a considerable amount of savings.

The joy of traveling dispelled much of the gloom in Skye's heart, and a happy smile returned to her face.

Seeing this, Finnie breathed a sigh of relief. Regardless of whether they found their destination or not, this alone made the purpose of the trip complete.

During these two days, Finnie also used a compass to re-establish their direction and deduce their next destination:

  the Caribbean Sea.

Inside a small to medium-sized yacht, Finney lazily reclined on a sun lounger.

In this area, Finney wondered if there were pirates like Captain Jack Sparrow, but he most likely didn't want to encounter them; this simple life was just fine.

"Finney, look, look! I caught one!"

Beside the boat, Skye, dressed in light clothing, held a fishing rod in one hand and a large fish in the other, excitedly shouting to Finney.

  "Amazing, amazing!"

Finney replied lazily, not even looking up. It was just fishing for a fish in the sea, not a shark; what was so surprising?

Noticing Finney's attitude, Skye was clearly displeased. She reeled in her fishing rod and returned to Finney's side, huffing, "This is the first time I've caught such a big fish."

Finney then looked at the fish in Skye's hand. It was about thirty centimeters long, indeed quite large, with some reddish scales; Finney couldn't identify its species.

  "Great, great, dinner's sorted."

Finney grinned, stretching as he got up. This comfortable life was indeed addictive; it had only been two days, and he already didn't want to leave.
