« The privilege is, you are granted three ultimate wishes »
It takes a moment for Azrael to register what the creator just said,
A wry smile slowly stretches across Azrael's face when he hears about the three wishes, He starts losing himself and fails to accomodate both his personalities and his smile turns into something demonic, and a quiet maniacal laughter begins inwardly.
"Hahah haha haha...three ultimate wishes... I can rule the world... everyone will kneel before me.... and I can do whatever I want—
« Now, I would love to entertain this Maniacal side of yours, but let's get your sanity back, we have important decisions to make »
Instantly Azrael goes silent, or should I say becomes normal, and stares intently at The Creator.
« Good. Now, Azrael.. even though these are ultimate wishes, there's a catch »
"Hm. That's what I thought. sounds too good to be true," Azrael comments inwardly.
The Creator ignores all his inner commentaries and tries to bring his focus back to the privilege.
« The catch is.. The wishes that I grant have to be auxiliary or supportive means— ultimate, yes—but not direct enough to alter reality outright. »
« For example, I can't simply take over a world and hand it to you for ruling, like you have been dreaming about. But what I can do is provide you supportive means to help you annex the world yourself »
« And these supportive means will be ultimate »
« By ultimate, I mean they exist at the same rank as my own existence.. which is beyond conceptual reality. So the result of these 3 wishes will be ultimate, and no one present in reality will be able to interfere even higher-tier existences' »
« So, Azrael... Three wishes. Think carefully. Take your time. We have all the time there is..»
"Whoa.. too much information dumped at once".
Azrael's mind goes blank thinking about all of this.
So I can ask for three ultimate means right now, which will be my greatest support.
But what's a higher-tier existence? What's a rank? There's... a lot to unpack there
"Let's just focus on the ultimate wishes, I will just ask about those things later."
And then Azrael starts brainstorming ideas,
"What should I wish for? Infinite money? Becoming the strongest ?
No... if all of this will be granted now, then what's the use of a system?"
"The system practically becomes useless, and I anyways don't think he will grant me infinite money or make me the strongest as those things have a direct effect on reality"
"Making me the strongest or richest by default"
And honestly.. I don't wish for these things to be given to me on a platter.
My sole reason for accepting the system is because,
I crave a journey.. a journey to the top.
To become an entity equal to The Creator's existence.
So think, Azrael.. think. What do you really want..?
Hours pass as Azrael remains deep in thought.
Finally, he turns towards The Creator.
" I have my first wish "
« hahaha—good. What is your first wish, Azrael? »
"I want a veil or a mask that hides whatever I want to hide... Something that is able to distort information about my existence. And I want you to make it so that it can be accessed by both of my personalities separately"
"So that I can live two lives"
Hearing my first wish, The Creator laughed out loud,
« I expected nothing less from your dual personalities. That's a very smart support you've chosen »
« I don't think you even realize the magnitude of what you just asked for.. but fine, I'll be generous and after some modifications—

« Don't worry. You will be able to access "the veil" once you connect to your system after getting reincarnated »
"Alright.. Thank you..! "
"I have a request, um.. Creator, sir?!
« hahahaha. Guess I forgot to properly introduce myself, you may refer to me as Master V. »
« Being called 'Creator sir' isn't very pleasing to the ears »
"Okay, Master V, I have a request."
« What is it, Azrael? »
" I would like to save my two wishes for later "
« I ac— »
"And before you reject me, please hear me out."
Azrael takes a breath.
"I can't think of anything that will be a great auxiliary to me as I don't even understand what I am getting myself into"
"You spoke of higher level existences and ranks, about which I know next to nothing..
so first I want to experience and then wish for the right ultimate support from you"
"And since the system is a fragmented consciousness of yours—no matter how insignificant, I believe I can contact you through it when the time comes"
"So... please accept my request."
« You've really thought this through, huh.. »
« I accept your request, Azrael »
« I was going to do it anyway, you just didn't let me finish speaking, so spare me the explanations »
A big smile blooms across Azrael's face when Master V accepts his request.
"Hehe.. Thank you, Master V"
« Are you sure you want to delay your two wishes? If you want, I can make you the strongest or grant you infinite money...you know..?! »
Azrael turns his head in embarrassment and looks away from
Master V.
As he knows that The Creator is just teasing him..
" I am sure, Master V. I will save those two wishes for later"
« Good. Now—anything else you want to ask? »
"I want to know about the ranks. And higher level existences."
Master V chuckles lightly.
« I assume you're familiar with magic, cultivation and all those supernatural realms— since you have read about them and are expecting something similar »
Azrael nods fervently.
« I can't tell you much, as it would ruin the journey.. But there are TEN LAYERS— and each layer has its own realms. »
« The more layers you cross, the higher your standing or existence becomes »
« You will understand all of this once you reincarnate. Or you can ask the "system" . So don't fret over it too much »
"Alright, once again I express my gratitude, Master V, for what you're doing.."
"I don't understand many things like, Why you are doing this ?
Or Why you chose me ? "
"But I will try my very best not to disappoint you.
I'll repay this favour by my actions"
"Once again Thank you "
« Ha.. silly kid, I said stop sweating the details »
« Just live life however you want. That alone is enough for me »
Just like how Azrael perceives Master V's existence. He understands instinctively that this being means no malice towards him and genuinely feels happy for him and is trying to help him..
Azrael smiles politely and nods at him, as if trying to convey that he understands his goodwill..
The Creator nods back, or at least that is what Azrael's mind is able to interpret from the exchange..
« So... are you ready ? »
The Creator asks,
Azrael replies.
"YES".
