Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Family and Old Friends

At the Royce Family's Ender's home.

"Where did Eleven go? Eleven never needs to be called for meals!"

Wendy, found that Ender was not eating in the dining tent. She suppressed her confusion and waited until she returned home to question her husband.

Facing the interrogation, Derrick remained silent, hesitating whether to tell his wife about Ender's role as a Scout.

Seeing her husband remain silent, Wendy became angry, "Speak! Derrick!"

"Sigh…" Seeing his wife's anger, Derrick sighed helplessly, then honestly replied, "I let Eleven become a Scout."

"A Scout! Derrick, you're really something!" Wendy laughed in extreme anger, "That's a Scout position only a Planetary Level can hold, and you let Apprentice Level 9 Eleven go!"

Derrick quickly explained, "With Eleven's strength, being a Scout is not an issue. Even a Planetary Level Three-stage Night Bird can't do anything to him."

"But even so, you shouldn't have let Eleven go! He's only Fourteen years old!"

"Yes! Eleven is Fourteen now!" Derrick first nodded, then retorted, "Don't you think Eleven has become lax now?"

Wendy's tone softened slightly, "Eleven is a bit… but he still shouldn't be a Scout."

"Why not?!" Derrick asked again, "Do you know the Family's current situation?"

"The Family? Isn't the Family doing well?" Wendy asked cautiously, "Did something happen?"

"Well?" Derrick shook his head, "For all these years, the Family's situation hasn't been very good."

Forty years ago, because Ron Royce, the second in line among the second generation, distinguished himself in the Stellar Training Camp, which was full of Geniuses, the Royce Family entered its Pinnacle period.

The Family founder, Royce, bypassed the Morning Light City councilor seat and directly ran for the Morning Light City Lord position.

Derrick continued, "Father once had an advantage in competing for the Morning Light City Lord, but with my second brother's death in the Stellar Training Camp, Father failed in his bid for Morning Light City Lord, and even his proposal to become a councilor was rejected by the council.

"To think that my Royce Family now has two Stellar Rank powerhouses and ten Planetary Level. Our overall strength surpasses more than half of the councilor families, yet the proposal to become a councilor is stuck in the council, unable to advance.

"The reason for this is still that the Family was established for a short time, has shallow foundations, and its rapid increase in strength has caused envy.

"To break this deadlock, only Little One entering the Stellar Training Camp and Eleven demonstrating his Talent in Morning Light Academy and the Joint Training Camp, using their Talents to suppress all hostility."

At this point, Derrick paused, and said with a tone of helplessness, "But Eleven is now lax. If I don't use some means to push him, he most likely won't change.

"It's also good to let him see the true grassland."

After listening quietly, Wendy finally understood her husband's painstaking efforts, but she still worried, "But I'm still not at ease…"

Derrick put his arm around his wife's shoulder and comforted her, "Don't worry, Eleven will be fine."

Wendy leaned on her husband's shoulder and nodded gently, "Mm."

At the same time, under the dim sky, Ender looked at the tribal camp with flickering lights in the grassland ahead, feeling much more at ease.

"Finally here."

From the Family's Encampment, he traveled to one tribe after another, his body weary and his spirit exhausted.

Those tribes, where the strongest was only Apprentice Level 9, made it difficult for him to stop, forcing him to rush to the next tribe as quickly as possible.

Because each incoming beast tide was a considerable loss for those weak tribes, not in terms of significant casualties, but in the large loss of domesticated Demon Beasts that were being grazed.

From one tribe, Ender learned that Demon Beasts invading from the inner parts of the grassland, once they encountered human tribes, would often choose to prioritize attacking larger domesticated Demon Beasts.

Especially carnivorous Demon Beast groups, if encountered during migration, would result in the loss of a large number of domesticated Demon Beasts, and there might even be a situation where none were left.

Domesticated Demon Beasts are the most important wealth of grassland tribes; every part of their bodies has great use. It can be said that if a tribe loses a large number of domesticated Demon Beasts, that tribe will face a catastrophic disaster.

"I am Ender Royce of the Royce Family, currently serving as a Scout."

After approaching the camp, Ender, to avoid misunderstanding, stopped about a hundred meters from the tribe's camp and did not enter rashly.

After a brief commotion in the camp, a middle-aged man walked out, "I am Axe, the leader of the Hahelu Tribe."

"This is the email from Morning Light City about the impending beast tide."

Ender did not waste words and directly projected the email with the Morning Light City seal.

The middle-aged man, Axe, walked a bit closer. After confirming that the projected email was fine, he used the faint light of the projection to examine Ender.

At first, he only felt that this Scout in front of him was very young.

But then he noticed that this young Scout looked somewhat familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere before.

After thinking carefully for a while, he tentatively asked, "Are you Eleven of the Royce Family?"

"I am Eleven of the Royce Family, and you are?"

"Do you remember the beast tide two years ago? You and I were in the same defense zone."

After being reminded, a figure in Ender's mind overlapped with the Axe in front of him.

"It's you, the uncle who was in charge of defense command at that time."

He remembered now. Two years ago, when he first participated in the beast tide trial, he didn't understand many things, and it was the defense zone commander at that time who explained everything to him.

And that defense zone commander was precisely the man named Axe in front of him.

"I didn't expect you to still recognize me."

Seeing Ender recognize him, Axe was somewhat happy, but also somewhat melancholic.

Time had passed. That little guy who needed his guidance during his first beast tide trial and hadn't even received a name had now reached the level where he could serve as a Scout, while he himself was still treading water.

"I still remember, Uncle, you taught me a lot of knowledge back then."

Ender's emotions were mixed. That Apprentice Level 9 defense zone commander from back then was still Apprentice Level 9 now.

The hurdle from Apprentice-level to Planetary Level has stopped too many people, and this person in front of him will likely be one of them.

Axe invited, "Come in. It's already dark, so it's inconvenient to go back. It's not too late to leave tomorrow."

"Okay."

Ender nodded and agreed; he had already planned to do so.

The two walked into the Hahelu Tribe camp.

Under the firelight, Axe used the glow to notice the tired expression on Ender's youthful face.

"Thank you for coming to inform us in time."

Axe had also seen the time the Morning Light City email was sent out earlier. How could he not understand that Ender had rushed here non-stop, just to inform their tribe about the impending beast tide?

"I am a Scout; this is my duty." Ender smiled, then asked, "By the way, has your tribe decided which shelter to go to?"

"Not yet. That decision can only be made after discussing it with the elders of the tribe."

"If your tribe intends to take refuge with my Royce Family, I can accompany your tribe along the way."

Hearing this, Axe paused, a look of joy appearing on his face, "Really?"

"Mm."

Receiving Ender's affirmative reply, Axe smiled happily, "That's great! I will persuade the elders to take refuge with the Royce Family."

With an Apprentice Level 9 Spiritual Master overseeing, their losses during migration will be greatly reduced, provided they don't encounter Planetary Level Demon Beasts.

Ender rested for one night in the Hahelu Tribe, and early the next morning…
