Chapter 28 - Chapter 27

Ace and Alpha had felt a magnificent descent of power that made them both run to check on Ramien to see Hades and the Projection.

Ramien was covered in Blue-red light and they could not properly see him.

But his voice travelled to their ears.

"Alpha, I need your help with one last thing" Ramien said

"Anything" Alpha replied quickly

Then Ramien released the souls to float to Alpha.

"Find them a new life and watch over their safety"

Alpha received the souls, gave Ramien or rather, the ball of light a long look before sighing.

"Is this the end?" Alpha asked "Will I ever see you again?"

"This could be the end of everything, for all I know" Ramien replied.

"You should find your way too Ace" Added Ramien.

"No way" Ace stubbornly said "Who—who would teach Kael how to cast spells?" He sorted out a reason to stay with Ramien.

"Then I'll leave you two first" Alpha said and turned to leave.

Ace and Ramien watched Alpha walk farther into the sunrise, his figure slowly dissolving into light.

The glow around Ramien neither weakened nor grew — it simply endured, quiet and steady.

Deep in the Underworld, Hades smiled.

It was an expression unseen for a million years.

"I told you," she murmured to herself, thinking of Ramien,

"No one escapes Fate."

Her gaze lingered in thought.

"You wished not to bring back your brother — yet you did. Your father never said you would return only one."

A low chuckle followed.

"So this is where the Twin Love Saga en—"

A vast divine pressure descended across the Underworld.

Soul-lights trembled. The air grew heavy.

Hades' expression hardened in disgust.

"…Fate."

A playful, childlike voice echoed through the throne hall, everywhere at once.

"Hehehe… Hades. It's been a million years since I last saw you smile."

"I am no longer what I was," Hades replied coldly.

"And yet," the voice answered lightly,

"you still collect the souls I write into existence."

"Why are you here?" Hades asked.

A small girl appeared seated on the throne — no more than six years old in form, gently swinging her legs. Her lips never moved, yet her voice filled the chamber.

"You say you dislike me," Fate said,

"but you keep helping my stories reach their endings. That fascinates me."

Hades' gaze sharpened. "Explain yourself."

"Ramien truly did try to deviate from his path," Fate continued.

"I was surprised."

She smiled.

"But you corrected the course. You gave him both souls and restored the thread."

"I did it because my word does not fail," Hades said.

"I told him none escape your design. I proved it."

Fate laughed softly.

"Just as you never escaped yours."

"If your story had never broken," Fate added gently,

"you would never have risen to become what you are now — a sacred judge of endings."

The throne hall fell still once more.

"Don't you think," Fate said lightly,

"that I might have written you to correct his path?"

Hades' gaze sharpened.

"I am a sacred being, just as you are. How could you still write what I do?"

Fate laughed — bright and careless.

"That doesn't matter."

Then her eyes curved into a knowing smile.

"And this is not the end of Twin Love Saga."

Hades frowned. "What else could possibly remain?"

"You've forgotten Derian," Fate replied.

"Let me show you what comes next."

The world shifted.

They stood where destinies were written, where endless scrolls drifted in a boundless expanse. One unfurled on its own, revealing a vision.

A stone dungeon—

Chains rattled softly as a voice echoed through the dark.

"Well, Pinky," Lucian, the Lycan Prince, drawled,

"when will you give up? It's been over a year. Open your dream to me."

Derian lifted his head.

Exhaustion clung to him and so did endurance.

"Even if I die," Derian said, blood staining his teeth as he smiled,

"I will never open my dream to you."

Lucian sighed theatrically.

"Oh please. You know I care for you. Don't make me use my boys."

"Do whatever you want." Derian spat back and from the shadows, a massive wolf emerged and lunged at Derian, his scales appeared to form a defensive layer as mist struggled to form.

"Enough!" Lucian barked. "He's dead!"

The wolf halted.

Lucian seized Derian's face, forcing him to look up.

"That man is dead. Why are you still clinging to him?"

Derian met his eyes.

"Because he is risen."

Lucian froze.

"I've seen him in my dream," Derian continued softly. "And I will make sure he remembers."

Lucian stepped back.

"…What?"

"He has returned," Derian said, voice steady.

"Stronger, And when he remembers—"

His gaze locked onto Lucian.

"He will end you."

"Why him?" Lucian whispered. "We've known each other since we were children."

Derian's answer came without hesitation.

"Because he is my soulmate."

Lucian's breath caught.

"He will only find you," Lucian thought for a while then said coldly, backing away,

"if you are still alive."

The wolf surged forward once more and the vision closed.

Hades staggered back a step.

"Soulmate?" she whispered.

"Derian can't possibly—"

Fate smiled.

"That's right. Derian's generation is born of dreams. When they open their personal dream space to someone of the same gender—life is conceived."

Hades stared at her.

"You're insane."

"It's called designing," Fate replied calmly.

She turned away, her voice drifting behind her.

"Now you see why this isn't the end. Stories don't end — they evolve."

"Damien may remember and Ramien may be saved."

She looked back, eyes shining with mischief and certainty.

"You'll never know."

And that, Fate decided was the best part.
