Chapter 1 - Prologue

Marriage was everything they dreamed it would be: soft mornings, shared laughter, and the quiet comfort of knowing they had each other. Two women, deeply in love, are finally starting the life they always wanted.

But even the happiest beginnings come with their challenges.

In a hospital owned by the esteemed Thananusak family, newlyweds Earn and Fahlada sat patiently in the waiting room of its fertility center, their fingers interlocked in a silent display of support and devotion.

"Are you nervous, my love?" Fahlada asked, squeezing Earn's hand gently.

Earn chuckled softly, though there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes.

"A little. But mostly, I'm excited. This is it, P'Mor! We're doing this."

Fahlada smiled, leaning in to kiss Earn's forehead.

"Yes, we are, babe. And no matter what happens, we have each other."

The couple had spent months preparing for this moment. Countless consultations, tests, and heart-to-heart conversations led them here to pursue in vitro fertilization.

It wasn't an easy decision, but they were ready to start a family. They chose to bring a child into the world through Earn, knowing that pregnancy is never easy for any woman. It was a choice they made together, filled with hope and love.

As Nurse Ros called their names to enter the room, she gave them a naughty wink, which made them laugh a little.

"Together," they said firmly to each other and entered the room.

They sat across from their doctor and listened attentively to the next steps. They were told again that the process would be challenging, both physically and emotionally, but they were prepared.

They had to be.

Fahlada's family owns this prestigious hospital, which is a legacy built by her parents. However, the pressure of becoming its sole successor almost cost her relationship with Earn. After all the challenges they faced, she made sure to uphold their reputation.

She worked tirelessly as the lead dermatologist to prove herself to be the owner's daughter and a capable, deserving leader.

For her, the hospital wasn't just a workplace; it was a part of her identity, a responsibility she carried with pride. Now, this very institution is helping them take a monumental step toward starting their own family. She cannot help but be grateful for all her blessings: good parents, a loving partner, amazing friends, and soon, a child of her own.

The next few weeks were full of doctor visits, hormone shots, and hopeful anticipation.

Earn stayed firm in her decision; this journey meant everything to her. No matter how hard it became, she was glad to face it all. For now, she has chosen to focus on building their family before considering a return to acting.

Being with Fahlada had always felt like a dream. From the moment they met, she knew she would do anything for her. And now, she will be carrying their child. Earn felt more complete than ever, like everything she'd ever wanted was finally within reach.

However, Fahlada could see the toll it was taking on her wife. Earn's usual playful expressions grew more serious, and she became increasingly mindful of everything she did and ate.

Despite her demanding schedule, Fahlada made it a priority to be present for every appointment and every emotional moment. This was her way of showing Earn that she was just as devoted to their family as Earn was.

Finally, the day of the embryo transfer arrived. As Earn lay on the bed, her heart pounded loudly. She was tense, and Fahlada noticed this, but Earn's smile assured her that despite being anxious, everything would be alright as they had prepared for this, so she held her hand tightly and whispered words of encouragement. It was a moment infused with both fear and immense love.

"You'll be fine. Just breathe, my love. It's almost done," Fahlada murmured, her voice a gentle caress, soothing her wife's nerves.

Through a mix of worry and excitement, she forced herself to stay steady; Earn needed her to be strong.

Their eyes met, and Earn mouthed a quiet, "Thank you," her lips trembling with emotion.

The procedure lasted only minutes, but the waiting game was agonizing. Each day dragged on, slowly turning into weeks, and the heavy weight of uncertainty grew with every passing hour as they anxiously waited for the results.

Then, the moment came.

The two of them were standing in their bathroom; Earn clutched the pregnancy test in her trembling hands, her breath hitching as she stared at the two pink lines. Tears welled up in her eyes as she turned to Fahlada, who was watching her with bated breath.

"P'Mo…" Earn choked out, her voice thick with emotion.

"We're pregnant, baby!" She shouted so loudly that even the next town might have heard her.

Fahlada's eyes widened. She was not surprised, even though she was starting to lose hope with the delays. Her heart nearly burst with joy as she wrapped her arms around Earn, lifting her off the ground in sheer elation. Laughter and tears mingled as they held each other, their dream finally becoming a reality.

"We're going to be moms, my love." Fahlada's eyes softened as she whispered those words to her lovely wife, Earn, pressing a reverent kiss to her temple. She was overwhelmed with happiness and gazed into her wife's light brown eyes, which were warm like golden embers, glowing with love and unspoken desire.

That gentle kiss soon deepened, and their lips moved with a hunger born from joy, relief, and the weight of everything they had been through. At that moment, words weren't needed; their kiss spoke of promises, gratitude, and a love that only grew stronger.

In that moment, nothing else mattered. Their love had brought them here, and it would carry them through whatever came next.

Together, nothing could stand in their way.
