Taking control of the Third Army Group and declaring war on the Emperor of Ursus.
If news like that spread, it would instantly throw the entire Ursus political landscape into chaos—and probably make a certain emperor in the Holy Imperial City let out a piercing shriek.
After all, the Third Army Group was one of Ursus's most powerful forces: absolute elites capable of crushing many nations across Terra on their own. It was a private army firmly under the control of Duke Beagur, one of Ursus's grand dukes.
So why was Mebius so confident she could take over a military force that clearly belonged to someone else?
The answer was simple.
She held Kashchey—the consciousness and soul of the immortal Black Serpent of Ursus.
Makima's domination authority was frighteningly effective. When she dealt with Talulah, she didn't just dominate the Black Serpent's main consciousness; all of Kashchey's scattered fragments across Terra collapsed along with it.
Those fragments had never been independent to begin with. Kashchey had always possessed only a single true will. Once Makima dominated the core consciousness residing within Talulah, every other shard naturally fell under her control as well.
In other words, whatever Mebius now ordered the Black Serpent to do, it would do without hesitation.
And the forces that Kashchey once manipulated? They now belonged to Mebius by default.
Duke Beagur—who commanded the Third Army Group—just happened to be one of Kashchey's chess pieces. If Mebius wished, the Third Army Group could be handed over to her at any moment.
"If we have the Third Army Group, then we do have the qualifications to contend with the Holy Imperial City,"
Patriot said in his deep, gravelly voice—now fully restored.
"But if we rely on the Third Army Group alone… considering the other dukes and their armies, becoming the final victor will be difficult."
For someone who normally spoke as little as possible, delivering such a long analysis was already pushing his limits.
By now, both Patriot and FrostNova knew that Talulah intended to join forces with Mebius and An Xora to overthrow the Emperor of Ursus and establish a new nation.
Though shocked by Talulah's ambition, they trusted her character. If this was the path she chose, they would support her with everything they had.
As for how the Third Army Group would be taken over—given Mebius's past displays of power and her current confidence—it was obvious she had already prepared everything. That wasn't their concern.
"Military strength isn't something you need to worry about,"
Mebius replied calmly to Patriot's concerns.
"Although we do plan to take over the Third Army Group, they won't be the main force once we formally declare war on the Emperor."
Her words left everyone present confused.
The Third Army Group was already the most elite force Ursus had. If they weren't the main combat force, then what kind of army could possibly take that role?
Was Mebius implying that she could produce another army—equal to or even stronger than the Third Army Group?
Even An Xora was curious.
Not because he doubted Mebius—he knew her capabilities better than anyone—but because he wanted to see just what kind of madness she had cooked up this time to justify such confidence.
With that curiosity hanging in the air, the first pre-rebellion meeting—led by Talulah and Mebius—came to an end. Once everyone dispersed, Mebius returned to An Xora's side and suggested they make a trip back to the One Punch Man world.
She had clearly read An Xora's expression during the meeting and decided it was time to show him her latest preparations.
One Punch Man World — Mebius's Research Facility
Instead of lingering among the surface-level laboratories, Mebius opened a passage leading deeper underground.
A vast subterranean space unfolded before An Xora's eyes.
Towering cultivation tanks—each over five meters tall—stood in neat rows throughout the chamber. Inside every tank floated an embryo, suspended in nutrient fluid.
Most of these embryos were already fully developed.
After a brief glance, An Xora immediately recognized what they were.
"You've been cloning Wendigos this entire time in the One Punch Man world?"
He turned toward Mebius and asked directly.
"Correct," she replied.
"Using Patriot's pure-blood Wendigo lineage as the foundation, I fully analyzed Wendigo genetics and power structures in this world, then used that data as a blueprint to mass-produce cloned Wendigos."
"It only takes seven days for these embryos to mature. Through genetic memory imprinting, they rapidly acquire basic knowledge and combat instincts, allowing them to become effective soldiers almost immediately."
"At present, this batch consists of roughly two hundred Wendigos. Once the process is fully optimized, production can be expanded to over one thousand per month."
"And since they're cloned directly from Patriot's bloodline, their average combat capability is exceptionally high."
She spoke as casually as if she were discussing crop yields.
"Using Terra's standard unit—the Inner Guard—each Wendigo averages between 0.8 to 1 Inner Guard in strength. Given more time to grow, they can all exceed the Inner Guard threshold."
Mebius lightly tapped one of the cultivation tanks, a faint, unconcerned smile on her lips—despite the fact that her words alone would send over ninety percent of Terra's races into collective hysteria.
"And that's without using the enhanced monster cells or limit-breaker serum."
"If we administer the mass-produced versions of both, their average combat power would rise to around three Inner Guards."
"Of course, I don't recommend doing that across the board," she added calmly.
"Ordinary Wendigos are already more than enough, when paired with sheer numbers, to flatten Ursus. Only a small elite unit needs the monster cells and limit-breaker serum."
"Anything more would just be a waste of resources."
After all, with a production capacity of over a thousand Wendigos per month, it wouldn't take long for An Xora and Mebius to raise a full-fledged Wendigo legion in the Arknights world.
Each Wendigo was individually comparable to an Inner Guard.
And Ursus—exhausting its entire national strength—could muster perhaps a hundred Inner Guards at most.
That was less than one-tenth of Mebius's monthly output.
Some wars, in truth, were already decided the moment they began.
The only reason no one realized it yet was because they didn't know what awaited them.
As for the Emperor of Ursus?
An Xora could already picture the scene—
the day the Wendigo army arrived, and the Emperor was spun around like a toy with one hand.
