Chapter 61 - Dark Seele’s Pure Stats — The Jujutsu World Fully Cleared!

Ordinary slashes were completely unable to break through her cursed energy. The moment they made contact, they simply vanished.

As for close combat—even approaching her was enough for that annihilating cursed energy to claim his life.

Faced with this situation, Ryomen Sukuna had no choice but to search for a way to break the deadlock.

Thus, at this very moment, he was activating a binding vow—establishing a permanent, extremely costly restriction in exchange for a massive increase in the power of his technique.

If normal slashes couldn't break her defense, then a slash capable of cutting space itself—surely that would be enough to wound her!

Because the price was far too heavy, even he could only unleash such an attack once. He had to seize this single, irreplaceable opportunity.

Boom!

As if his gaze pierced through the clouds of dust and locked directly onto Dark Seele, Sukuna's cursed energy erupted violently. To ensure absolute certainty, he even paid an additional price, forcibly granting the slash a guaranteed-hit effect!

The space-cleaving slash shot forward, reaching Dark Seele in an instant.

Just as Sukuna had predicted, the attack successfully bypassed the black-red cursed energy overflowing around her, truly breaking through what had seemed like an unsolvable defense.

However, there was not the slightest trace of panic on Dark Seele's face.

On the contrary—she had already anticipated this.

After all, unlike the original storyline, Sukuna had not taken Megumi Fushiguro's body. Without the Ten Shadows Technique and Mahoraga, this was the limit of his remaining methods.

A slash that cuts space?

Hah…

She didn't even raise her scythe.

Dark Seele simply extended one hand and placed it directly in the path of the slash. Her delicate hand, clad in a red silk glove, made contact with the invisible attack.

No quantum displacement.

No authority.

Relying solely on the pure, overwhelming scale of a Herrscher, she grasped the slash that was desperately trying to advance. Then, she applied a bit of force.

Crack.

Though the slash was invisible, Sukuna distinctly heard the sound of something shattering.

The space-cleaving attack he had placed all his hopes in was crushed barehanded, snapped apart by Dark Seele with a single grip.

If, in their previous battle, what had left the deepest impression on Sukuna was the Withering authority—that instant-death, rule-breaking terror—then what Dark Seele showed him now was something even more despair-inducing:

Not a mechanism.

But raw, overwhelming numbers.

"Out of options already, Curse King?"

Looking at Sukuna's slightly dazed expression, Dark Seele mocked him.

"No… I haven't lost yet!"

Snapping back to his senses, madness surfaced on Sukuna's face. Ignoring the terrifying black-red cursed energy spilling around her, he charged forward without hesitation.

Slashes.

Fists and kicks.

Cursed energy.

Having completely abandoned all caution, Sukuna launched his final assault with everything he had.

Slash—slash—slash!

The slashes vanished instantly upon touching the cursed energy infused with Withering.

Sizzle—!

A punch crackling with pitch-black cursed energy was erased before it could even come close.

Meanwhile, Sukuna's own cursed energy was being consumed at an alarming rate every time it touched that black-red aura.

"How ugly," Dark Seele said coldly.

"So this is all the so-called Curse King amounts to in the end?"

Watching Sukuna flail without any form or strategy, she manifested a black-red claw and swatted him away.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After smashing through several buildings in succession, Sukuna lay buried in the ruins. Before he could even rise, a claw pierced straight through his body.

The black-red claw tightened slightly.

Sukuna's body was torn clean in two—his lower half falling to the ground, while his upper half was lifted before Dark Seele like a rag doll.

"You—and your power—are laughable."

Unexpectedly, in the face of Dark Seele's disdain, Sukuna showed a look of relief.

He had finally understood.

In this battle, he had gone all out. He had used every method at his disposal—and even so, he had been defeated fair and square, head-on.

That meant only one thing.

He was simply inferior.

The title of "strongest" from a thousand years ago had blinded him, trapping him in arrogance. Only now, through Dark Seele, had he truly glimpsed what a real curse could be.

The only regret he felt was that, despite him fighting with everything he had, she still hadn't taken him seriously.

Black-red cursed energy seeped into his body, and Sukuna's consciousness rapidly faded.

Moments later, the black markings belonging to Ryomen Sukuna completely disappeared.

Dark Seele casually tossed the remaining half of Yuji Itadori's body back onto the ground.

There was no need to worry about his death. After all, with Sukuna inside him, Yuji had survived having his heart torn out for half a day in the original story. A simple bisection at the waist was nothing more than a scratch.

Still, after thinking it over, Dark Seele manipulated a black-red claw to pick up Yuji's body and flew away from the battlefield.

At a safe location outside the battlefield, Seele, who had just escorted everyone here, sensed Sukuna's presence vanish. She turned back toward the battlefield.

Dark Seele flew over and dropped Yuji Itadori's body among the group.

"Ryomen Sukuna has been dealt with."

Seele nodded, then activated the power of creation, healing Yuji Itadori and the other injured sorcerers present.

Feeling the warm, comforting energy of creation wash over them, the sorcerers—who had been tense because of Dark Seele's appearance—finally relaxed. Soon after, disbelief spread across their faces.

"Ryomen Sukuna… was defeated that quickly?"

That was Ryomen Sukuna, the infamous Curse King. He had personally declared that he had already returned to his peak the moment he awakened.

The pressure he exerted, and the fact that Yuki Tsukumo and Yuta Okkotsu, two special-grade sorcerers, had been utterly powerless before him—proved that his title carried no exaggeration whatsoever.

And yet, before this curse who looked strikingly similar to Miss Seele, he had only lasted such a short time.

Perhaps today, the titles of Curse King and Curse Queen should change hands.

Meanwhile, in a villa located an unknown number of kilometers away, An Xora, who had been watching the battle remotely through perception, received system notifications.

Ding! Makima has defeated Gojo Satoru on behalf of the host. Reward: 50,000 points.

Ding! Seele has defeated Ryomen Sukuna on behalf of the host. Reward: 42,500 points.

Nearly 100,000 points flowed into his account from Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna alone, and a smile appeared on An Xora's face.

"At this point, the jujutsu world is basically fully cleared."

"It's about time to put a new avatar—and a new world—on the agenda."

PS: I originally wanted to make this final battle even more spectacular, but without the Ten Shadows Technique and Mahoraga, Sukuna trying to fight Dark Seele using only slashes felt a bit like a caveman wielding a bronze spear against a Trisolaran.

On top of that, the Withering authority is a purely lethal Herrscher power. I brainstormed several versions of the fight, and somehow each one ended up even more "simple and straightforward," which also delayed the update a bit.

Still, the Jujutsu arc is finally finished. To be honest, this was the author's first time writing Jujutsu Kaisen fanfiction.

After a short transition in the next chapter, the protagonist will manifest a new avatar and head to a new world. Don't worry—the avatars in the jujutsu world won't disappear after this arc. According to the outline, the protagonist won't have that many avatars overall—each world will only have one or two, and it may take five or six worlds to exceed ten total.

The world-hopping ability isn't one-time-only either. The protagonist and avatars can freely travel back and forth at no cost, so both the avatars and the jujutsu world will continue to have roles later on. The jujutsu world is essentially the protagonist's early-game resource hub—a fully modern planet's productivity alone is basically a cheat.

The new arc will mainly focus on Arknights, with secondary focus on One Punch Man and DanMachi. As mentioned before, since the protagonist can freely move between worlds, the new arc will be written across three worlds simultaneously—using each world's strengths to compensate for the others' weaknesses. This structure will continue going forward.
