Chapter 62 - Seele Simulator - 62

'Phew... Two days stuck in this hospital bed, and I feel like my whole body's about to rust over. '

'Finally time to be discharged, huh?'

Shedding the hospital gown she'd worn for five days—which showed not a single stain and somehow smelled even nicer than when she'd first put it on—Lunelle stepped out through the hospital's main doors.

Gazing up at the blue sky and white clouds she hadn't seen in what felt like ages, she couldn't help but sigh softly, stretching out her figure—a maiden's body almost unfairly lovely.

Right now, Lunelle was wearing a fresh set of Schicksal's Valkyrie uniform from St. Freya Academy, tailored to her exact measurements during her hospital stay by Theresa herself.

The design was pretty much identical to Kiana's Valkyrie Ranger suit from the game—like, exactly the same.

Too bad that in the game, the Ranger armor could at least be considered an initial A-rank.

Wearing it now, though, Lunelle didn't feel anything particularly special about this school uniform at all.

But if she had to point out something strange... well, there actually was one thing!

"Why does it feel so tight around the... chest here?"

Halfway through her stretch, Lunelle clearly felt a huge pressure from her own bust, threatening to pop her buttons right off!

Worried about the socially catastrophic scene of her buttons flying off due to her own generous proportions, Lunelle reluctantly stopped her rather enchanting stretching motion.

'Aww... what a shame!'

In that moment, several young ladies nearby who'd been secretly hoping for a button-popping incident—maybe to catch a glimpse of something special—let out faint, disappointed sighs in their hearts.

After all, the hospital Lunelle was in served as the direct medical facility for St. Freya's Valkyries.

And given the world of Honkai Impact, where girl-on-girl closeness is practically the norm, running into folks with what counted as a "normal" orientation in this universe around a Valkyrie-exclusive hospital was probably as common as water in the Ganges, right?

Of course, Lunelle had no idea that her own terrifying charm stat—now a whopping 29 points—meant even what she thought was a normal little stretch could attract special attention from several St. Freya lesbians.

In fact, quite a few proactive Valkyrie sisters were already toying with the idea of whisking the adorable Lunelle away to keep at home.

But before these flustered Valkyries, tickled pink by Lunelle's passive charm, could put their plans into action...

The trio of "main heroines," having learned Lunelle's exact discharge time well in advance, naturally arrived on the scene right away.

Especially a certain little duck sporting a grumpy duck-face. Having gone a full two days without her dose of precious Seelereum, the whole duck now radiated a gloomy, low-pressure aura.

Anyone who didn't know better might think this little duck had secretly been inhaling something she shouldn't have, now showing what looked like withdrawal symptoms or something!

"Mmmph! Seele! Bronya's Seele!!!"

Suddenly, a duck whose height was actually 2cm shorter than Lunelle lunged forward with a little ducky pounce.

Right there in public, she instantly transformed into a "koala," clinging onto Lunelle's back.

"Huh! I-Is that Bronya-oneechan!? Y-You're...?"

Caught completely off guard by this sneak attack from the little duck, Lunelle—whose body had become exceptionally soft and sensitive since turning into a delicate girl—was given quite the fright by this sudden close contact.

And Lunelle's instinctively flustered, panicked expression, so adorably vulnerable, stirred something in certain specific young ladies—a fierce urge to do something to the cute little Lunelle right now.

Like, for instance, the little duck currently clinging to Lunelle, and a certain Herrscher who'd been a step too slow and could only watch, too embarrassed to make her own move.

But as for Bronya getting the jump, Kiana really had no good excuse to copy her.

Then again, Seele just happened to be that type of girl—excessively petite and cute.

So at least out here in public, only a duck who looked even younger than Seele on the surface could shamelessly cling to Seele like this without it seeming too out of place.

If someone like Kiana—a "mature girl" standing over 160cm tall—tried to copy Bronya's move and force herself into a cling...

Well, she'd just come across as a total lesbian creep, publicly harassing the adorable little See-chan!

"Bronya! Can't you see you're scaring Seele? Hurry up and let her go!"

Knowing she couldn't bring herself to cling on, Kiana could only verbally warn the unauthorized clinging Bronya.

(ᗜ ˰ ᗜ): 'Hmph! As if a dumb-dumb like Kiana can order Bronya around? Not listening, not listening, turtle chanting sutras!'

But as for the warning from the Idiot Kiana, Bronya naturally acted like she hadn't heard a thing.

She just kept clinging to Seele exactly as she pleased, completely ignoring Kiana and ticking the ignored her off to no end!

"Kiana... Bronya might just be a little too excited after not seeing Lunelle for so long. Maybe we should all head back together first..."

Seeing Kiana throwing a bit of a tantrum, Mei felt a headache coming on.

Even though Kiana was already sixteen—practically an adult—why did she always have to pick fights with Bronya, who was still just a kid?

"Waaaah!!! This is infuriating! You little deviant Bronya, get off of Seele right now!!!"

But clearly, the Herrscher was genuinely pissed this time.

So the flustered, angry Kiana ignored Mei's attempt to mediate, charging forward to try and physically peel the octopus-like Bronya off of Lunelle!

Mei, the sole sane person present, watched as the three "kids" started wrestling right there in public, utterly indifferent to the eyes around them.

Noticing several onlookers happily snapping photos of the scene, Mei let out a helpless sigh.

Steeling herself like a mother who can't control her children, she hurried forward, trying to get Kiana and Bronya to stop their pointless fooling around.

Mei: 'Sigh... I just hope tomorrow's St. Freya headlines don't include me in this mess!'

As for Lunelle, who'd done almost nothing yet somehow gotten dragged into this wives' battlefield, she genuinely didn't know whether to be happy about her wives proactively cuddling up to her of their own accord…

Or to mourn the fact that she'd probably become infamous throughout St. Freya Academy even before officially enrolling.

As the farce of Lunelle reuniting with her wives after two days apart finally came to an end...

According to academy regulations, Lunelle—as a logistics department Valkyrie—should have been living in the St. Freya logistics dormitory.

But at the three wives' insistent demands, Lunelle ultimately found herself forcibly moved into Himeko-sensei's house—a place dangerous in more ways than one!

At first, Lunelle thought her three wives had taken matters into their own hands and dragged her there.

But after learning the specifics, she realized—belatedly—that the main reason she'd been assigned to Himeko's place was really by the direct order of Theresa, the academy head herself.

And since the highest authority in the Far East Branch had spoken, Lunelle, as a mere logistics Valkyrie, didn't really have the right to object.

It was a classic case of "knowing there's a tiger on the mountain, yet choosing to live in the tiger's den."

But when bedtime rolled around, the little duck and Kiana once again got bristling with tension, each tugging on Lunelle's soft, sweet-scented left and right hands.

Clearly, both were trying to snatch the adorable little Seele away to their own rooms for some cuddle-sleep.

Still, this was Himeko-sensei's house after all, and there were plenty of rooms available.

Seeing the two youngsters playing "wife-snatching" right in her own home, Himeko—who for once hadn't drunk herself straight into Kiana's bed yet—rarely exerted her authority as the homeowner.

She immediately assigned Lunelle's room right next to her own.

As for Himeko's arrangement, while Kiana and the duck were certainly unhappy about it...

Considering Himeko did seem to be the least "thirsty" for Seele among the adults present, and as long as it prevented their rival Kiana (Bronya) from getting a chance to sleep with Seele... it was a compromise they could reluctantly accept.

In this fair situation where neither could get what they wanted, the two of them found it wasn't exactly unacceptable.

Then, the unwilling Kiana and Bronya were both sent back to their own private rooms by Himeko-sensei.

As for Mei, apart from occasionally sneaking embarrassed glances at Lunelle, she tried her best to maintain her image as the only normal one among the three main girls.

But seeing Mei acting so unusually proper only made Lunelle feel a bit out of place.

After all, thinking back to what had really happened to her in the hospital room before…

Lunelle could hardly believe that the crazy lesbian who had once held her tight and kissed her deeply was the same person as this gentle, Yamato Nadeshiko-like wife before her now.

Still, in the end, Lunelle had managed to move into this main-character-style suite as one of the main crew.

And so, her life at St. Freya Academy began.

As a Logistics Valkyrie, although Lunelle attended classes at St. Freya, she didn't have combat-focused courses like the three main girls did.

What Lunelle needed to learn in the Logistics Department was mostly Schicksal-related history and the basic use of various medical supplies.

The only class that even bordered on combat taught students who lacked frontline battle capabilities how to use firearms with low destructive power—those not powered by Honkai Energy.

With a base intelligence stat of 10, double that of an ordinary person, Lunelle couldn't yet match the freakishly photographic memory she'd displayed in simulations.

But given her existing understanding of the Honkai world's general framework, keeping her theoretical scores in the upper-mid range of the Logistics Department wasn't too difficult.

On the second day of her school life, the simulator finally finished loading the new Daily Simulation module.

Out of curiosity about this so-called "Daily Simulation" she'd never experienced before, Lunelle planned to check out how it worked that very night.

So when bedtime came, Lunelle—playing it safe—first locked her door from the inside before starting the simulation.

As the simulation booted up, Lunelle resumed from her last save, finding herself back in the familiar police station holding cell.

But since Lunelle was a murderer and a Herrscher, she was held separately in a solitary cell.

During her confinement, no dumbass prison bullies came looking for trouble, nor were there any "well-spoken" fellow inmates to exchange tips on dealing with scumbags.

After roughly three days in the simulated slammer, just when Lunelle was starting to think her simulator had accidentally upgraded into a "Seele Does Time Simulator," she was finally informed she'd be transferred into Fire Moth's custody.

Lunelle had a pretty good idea: Fire Moth wasn't sure how dangerous she was, so after three days of observation, they'd finally decided to transfer this nearly-confirmed Herrscher-level threat.

Based on her past simulation experiences of being relentlessly hunted by Fire Moth, even though she'd deliberately turned herself in at a location possibly controlled by their more conservative faction this time, Lunelle was fully prepared.

If Fire Moth tried to move against her or take her life, she'd turn on them instantly and from then on, in every simulation, walk the dark path of a world-ending Herrscher without looking back.

But she never expected this desperate attempt would actually open up a brand new path.

After all, every week she survived in the simulation now meant real, tangible growth in reality—without even having to suffer the Safety Net penalty for failed runs.

So, as long as they didn't make things difficult for her, Lunelle didn't mind playing along for the sake of this free power-up.

Following a hot-bodied warden named "Kaelin," who wore a figure-hugging pencil skirt, the frail-looking Lunelle was soon brought before the "big shot" Fire Moth had sent to escort her.

But when she saw this "big shot"—who, though lacking pointed ears for now, already radiated the flawless, playful beauty of a spirited elf—

"Huh?!"

Lunelle froze, suddenly too startled to look any closer.

Yet seeing Lunelle's shy, adorable reaction right from the start, the long-awaiting Elysia stepped forward with a smile, warmly clasping Lunelle's slightly trembling hands.

"Hi~! A lovely maiden I'm meeting for the first time~!"

"I'm Elysia, a dazzling, flower-like girl, and also the big shot from Fire Moth here to pick you up!~~"

Lunelle: (°ロ°) !
