Chapter 53 - Seele Simulator - 53

Well, in every possible sense, she just couldn't beat her own darling Dark Seele.

So in the end, the ever-bullying-the-weak-but-fearing-the-strong Lunelle had no choice but to vent all her pent-up rage on that good-for-nothing young master—someone she'd been itching to personally send to an early grave for a long time.

And honestly, the scene at the scene was just way too brutal to describe in detail to all you handsome folks and pretty ladies out there.

But let's just say Lunelle treated that capital scum to a whole menu of delights: breaking all five limbs, castration, peeling off fingernails, the agony of ten fingers connected to the heart, gouging out eyeballs, and giving him a full set of physically-shattered-bone fractures, among other things.

Unfortunately, Lunelle's still somewhat incomplete Authority of Creation wasn't something she could actively wield at will yet.

Otherwise, she would've definitely made that trash experience what it truly means to be "worse than death" and "unable to die even if you wanted to."

But after torturing that piece of garbage to ruin, Lunelle accidentally messed up the simulation herself.

Maybe it was because her methods were just too bloody and brutal, but what usually happened—where Dark Seele was the one prone to getting carried away with killing—somehow ended up with Lunelle developing some… psychological abnormalities instead.

And for Dark Seele?

Well, she'd be more than happy if her adorable Seele became just like her: see someone you don't like, just kill 'em!

So when Dark Seele noticed Lunelle's odd state, far from warning her, she actively fanned the flames, urging Lunelle to let loose and go on a full-blown killing spree!

And how does a killing spree usually end? I'm sure you all know already, right?

[You Died!]

[Simulation Evaluation: Empowered, you gave in completely to the urge to kill under the goading of another "Seele," ultimately meeting your end in the official forces' encirclement and suppression.]

[Not only did you fail to alter the fate of key plot characters, you even ended up killing many more people.]

[This Simulation Rating: F]

[Simulation Settlement: Pay the price—turn the host physically into an airport runway!]

[Safety Net talent triggered.]

[Settlement changed!]

[Safety Net Settlement: Original penalty canceled. Host receives Safety Net reward: Minor Honkai Energy Resistance.]

[Due to the host's simulation rating reaching F-tier, special permanent talent [B → B+] has been bound.]

--+--

[B → B+ (Quality: Unknown / Permanent): One of the special permanent talents brought by the Safety Net (Gold).]

[A seemingly somewhat ambiguous and odd talent. It appears to be able, through some indescribably magical means, to make the host slightly… bigger.]

[Under the influence of this permanent talent: Host Charm +5, Honkai Energy Adaptability +5.]

As the simulation once again ended in the familiar way—being shot dead by Old Ancestor Kevin—Lunelle's consciousness was booted back to the bed in the intensive care unit of Schicksal's Far East Branch hospital.

"Gah, was it really just because I used a 'tiny' bit more torture on that trash? Could that really make my mind go off-kilter in the simulation, even addicted to killing?"

After syncing with the simulation's memories once more, Lunelle felt some frustration over how carelessly this run had failed.

But if she had to choose again, she wouldn't regret the decision to cruelly torture and kill that scum.

After all, thinking back on how her darling Dark Seele had just sliced that trash apart with a simple cut—it felt way too merciful for such human garbage!

Back then, Lunelle had kept thinking that if she ever got the chance, she'd personally make sure he suffered a brutal end.

Otherwise, the thought just wouldn't sit right with her.

Recalling in detail the bloody scenes of her mercilessly torturing that piece of trash who dared to covet her beloved Seele-chan, Lunelle now felt an immense sense of satisfaction.

"Sigh… whatever. At least this time I really did satisfy my obsession with torturing that scum."

"From now on, I'll just leave all the killing to my adorable and dangerously seductive Dark Seele. I'll just be a cute human purification device, making sure my darling doesn't go too crazy with the slaughter. That should work, right?"

Taking a deep breath, Lunelle finally let go of her obsession with torturing the capital scum and roughly set her direction for the next simulation.

"But why do I feel kinda… stuffy?"

Just as she took that deep breath, Lunelle suddenly felt oddly suffocated?

"Did I… get bigger again?"

But remembering that forced bound talent from the simulation settlement earlier, she quickly realized what was causing the chest tightness.

Thinking back, Seele-chan's body in the simulation was probably a C+ grade—super top-tier proportions. If one F rating made her grow about half a grade, then just two more low-rated failures and…

"Good grief, it's already B+. If this keeps up, I might actually reach Seele's size, won't I?"

The thought of her, a once-proud man of considerable height, now having to face the world in a 149cm body with C+ grade, super top-tier buns—somehow made Lunelle feel all shy and flustered.

Wah-wah-wah, no way, absolutely not!

Once her mind was made up, Lunelle silently resolved that in future simulations, she really couldn't let herself get carried away anymore. She had to maintain mental purity in the simulations!

Even if constantly relying on her fiercely possessive darling Dark Seele would likely lead to her pushing her luck more and more…

At least the outcome would surely be better than this time, where just torturing one piece of trash drove her completely mad, right?

Just as Lunelle was thinking about going back to sleep to see if the simulation cooldown might suddenly reset when she woke up…

Just as she was about to close her eyes and rest, her hospital room door was suddenly pushed open.

And then…

BOOM!!!

Σ(゚口゚;)//

'What in the world happened? An earthquake?'

Feeling the huge commotion from the doorway, Lunelle—still a severely injured patient—suddenly felt a wave of shock.

But with injuries still too severe to get out of bed, Lunelle could only silently pray that the ceiling wouldn't collapse.

Otherwise, immobilized as she was, she'd probably end up fragrantly vanished and done for!!!

"Whoops! Accidentally broke the doorframe! Sigh… I wonder if Grandpa will reimburse the repair fees. Should've known better than to bring the Oath of Judah along."

A somewhat annoyed, childish voice came from the hospital room doorway.

Hearing that highly recognizable voice, Lunelle instantly realized who had arrived.

It was none other than our St. Freya Academy's World's Number One Cute (and Short) Headmistress, the Magical Girl Teriri!

But before Lunelle could dwell on it further, a little pipsqueak carefully shuffled in, one-hand-dragging a giant Soulium cross, looking rather distressed.

However, upon entering Lunelle's room, Theresa suddenly caught a whiff of a sweet, soothing scent in the air—one that made her body and mind feel instantly at ease.

So much so that when Theresa saw the little cutie all wrapped in bandages, quietly sitting on the hospital bed, she found herself inexplicably thinking this little one looked more and more pleasing to the eye.
