As kingdoms sank deeper into wars and betrayals, the fates of countless people became intertwined through bloodshed, assassinations, and deadly confrontations that would leave a permanent mark on history.

Some fell as monsters.

Others rose as legends.

And the world continued to change beneath the clash of steel.

14. The Attack on Virellion

Date: 19 September, 760 A.D.

Location: Virellion / Serpentis

15. The Fall of Riven Thornevald

Date: July 7, 760 A.D.

Location: Dravion Prime / Dravion

Victor: Aurel Thornevald and Nocten Thornevald

Important

Aurel and Nocten entered their father's chambers alone.

Riven Thornevald refused to keep personal guards, even within his own castle.

Nocten launched the attack first.

Riven pushed both brothers back with overwhelming physical strength.

During the battle, he grabbed Nocten with one hand and slammed him into a stone wall.

Aurel managed to stab Riven in the back.

Later, he inflicted another wound to Riven's knee.

Nocten stabbed Riven through the neck and later through the chest.

Despite suffering multiple mortal wounds, Riven continued fighting.

In a direct clash of swords, Aurel severed Riven's hand.

The final blow was delivered by Nocten using Riven's own massive sword.

Riven's final words were:

"Just as I took the throne… so too have I lost it."

Varyn Thornevald and Iskra Azhara had anticipated treachery within their own ranks.

17. The Battle of the Ash Knights

Important

Several of Edric's knights were held in prison cells before the battle.

The surviving prisoners were forced to fight in the coliseum.

Kael Vashkar, Iskra Azhara,Azran Al-Raqem, and Varyn Thornevald watched from the royal viewing platform.

Edric's group was heavily outnumbered.

Edric organized his companions into a defensive circle.

Numerous prisoners and gladiators were killed in close combat.

The battle ultimately came down to the Coliseum Champion, a massive warrior known for having the highest number of kills in the arena.

Edric suffered severe blows and his armor was crushed.

He discarded the damaged armor and continued fighting.

With a single strike, he drove his blade beneath the Champion's jaw and through his skull.

The battle ended with the Champion's death.

Kael Vashkar began to view Edric with growing interest and respect.

In EldershadeWilds, the forces of Dravion were attacked by hidden archers.

Nocten killed one archer by throwing a spear through a tree.

The ambush proved to be part of a much larger trap.

The main army of Serpentis arrived after the hidden archers had already engaged and suffered losses against the enemy.

The twins fought side by side in the center of the battle.

Dozens of bodies fell around them as the fighting intensified.

VorthanGreymark entered direct combat against the twins.

NoctenThornevald was stabbed in the stomach during the battle.

AurelThornevald ordered a retreat.

Vorthan intentionally allowed the twins to escape, expecting another confrontation in the future.

19. The Bloody Battle at the Cabin

Location: Eldershade Wilds / Serpentis

Victor: Alaric Thornewood and the Unknown Hunter (Raghnar Al-Qasir)

Important

The knights of Skeldor were searching for an escaped prisoner.

The pursuit led them to a lonely cabin deep within the forest.

The hunter introduced himself as a man who had lived alone for many years.

The knights grew suspicious and attempted to surround him.

Two knights entered the cabin to conduct a search.

The attack began when an axe was hurled from the darkness.

The hunter killed multiple knights in close combat using overwhelming physical strength.

AlaricThornewood emerged from an ambush behind the knights.

Alaric killed several knights using an axe and stolen weapons.

The last surviving knight was beheaded by the hunter.

Alaric witnessed such brutal and large-scale killing up close for the first time.

The hunter suffered a wound to his back but continued fighting without stopping.

20. The Massacre of Fallen Pine

Important

The group arrived in FallenPine without initially intending to attack.

The villagers reacted with fear and distrust toward the armed strangers.

Tensions escalated when the group's leader demanded to meet the village chief.

The village chief's arm was severed in front of the gathered villagers.

An elderly resident openly challenged the group's leader.

The leader ordered the torture of both the old man and the village chief.

The women of the chief's family were assaulted in front of the villagers.

The entire village was gathered and subjected to brutal torture and executions.

The male villagers were hanged from buildings throughout the settlement.

Some of the women were kept alive by the group for weeks.

Only a fourteen-year-old girl was intentionally spared.

Lorian did not participate in the atrocities and was deeply disturbed by what happened.

Lorian's wolf displayed aggression and unease throughout the massacre.
