Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 — Shadows Of The White Gods

At Nya house. Kael—her father was ranting and walking around the house. He was restless.

"Honey, you need to calm down" his wife said calmly.

"It seems I'm the only one who is seeing what is about to happen to the Council of Elders. Why are they all blind." Kael vented in bitterness.

"I know Louisiana's taste of power is insatiable" his wife added

"Exactly. She has always that throne for herself. She wants to pose that we wipe off the human race." Kael lamented.

"If that's the case. As a witch who knows the mind of another witch. Louisiana is not going to step down. You have to look for another white god. And look for him quickly." His wife suggested.

"Exactly." Kael responded.

The next day, the Time Traveller visited the mother white witch at her place.

"I mean. Why I'm here s very important. Very very important." He began

"But I doubt you taking it as so. We need to start making preparations on how to see the white god again." He added.

"Kael" the mother witch called.

"Yes" he responded.

"Do you think that is necessary?" She asked giving a curious look at Kael.

"Really?" Kael asked in absolute surprise.

"I mean, you said that place will be in ruins in couple of years." She explained.

"Yes" Kael answered.

"So? How does it sound?" She asked.

"Omg! It means we need to prevent distruction, and we can only achieve that by seeing the White god almost immediately." He pointed out.

"And kill him." She sharply cut him in a loud voice.

"What!" Kael responded in shock of her words.

"Come on Kael. Don't be naive. Why are you behaving like you don't know that your White god is only here to destroy the council of elders." The mother witch replied selfishly.

"Louisiana! Louisiana! Louisiana!" Kael shouted her name to get back to her right senses.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" She answered.

"The council of elders is my your problem. Between you and l, we all know it's because you have an interest in this throne. That's why you want to destroy the White god and that's the reason you're making this decision. We know!" Kael told her.

The mother Witch gave a long mocking smile which was low.

"Okay. Let's assume you're saying the truth. Would you rather have me on the throne or have the White god who will destroy the Council of Elders? Better still have me maintaining order. Which one?" She asked in a fearless tone.

The Time Traveller moved back on his seat and readjusted his body. The question didn't go well him so he kept quiet.

"Quiet." She said with a soft laugh.

"You don't have any need for the future. You don't have to go back to the future anymore." The mother witch said in a persuading tone.

"Henceforth, the portal is closed permanently. Meanwhile my witches are sniffing around, and if they find that White god. They will kill him." She added with threat.

"What?" The Time Traveller asked in shock as he turned to her with his mouth wide open.

"Yes!!" The mother Witch answered with sound laugh.

At Aderyn Heights college, the next morning. Ivana arrived school early. Most of her classmates were already seated. She exchanged greetings with Ivan and some other of her classmates.

"Do you have the complete biology note?" Ivana asked Ivan with a gentle smile.

"Yes. Just sit down I'll bring it to you." Ivan responded.

As Ivana was about to sit down. Aira rushed in.

"Wait!!" Aira said stretching her hands as though she just saw a spell cast.

Ivana gave her a shocking look and to Ivan and Anna she suspected them.

Aira showed her the spell. She only had the power to see. And not to undo spells.

Ivana knew Nya and her crew had done it again. She quickly removed the poison and sat down.

Ivan and Anna bowed their head in shame and disappointment.

The bell rung for the election. In the School's auditorium. The school's manager, the principal, the staffs and the students all gathered for the election.

"Good afternoon everyone" Mr Joe Wilson—the principal addressed them.

"Good afternoon Sir." They chorused.

"For being punctual and you know." He continued. "But I just have one problem. The female students that crossed their legs should keep it down right now!!!" He spoke authority.

The students cooperated. "It's okay." He went on with his speech. "This year's student's council election. I think you all are aware, of which two students have been selected." He said pointing at Nya and Sable.

"When the election begins, I would love you students to vote the right candidate. Make the right choice. Don't vote by favoritism. So you won't have regrets in the nearest future. But make sure you vote rightly—vote for the rightful person." The principal warned.

"So you can go for the election now and good luck as you do." He added.

The students clapped their hands in appreciation and left for the election.

Aira went to a hidden corner of the school where Charlie appeared to her. She knew Charlie was the late boyfriend of Ella—the school's weirdo.

"Aira, the first day I stepped into this school was when l met Ella at the school gate." Charlie started as they walked down the staircase.

"And the synergy was just so cool. Our love was just so strong. If anyone would tell me that one day will come and l will the surface of this Earth without Ella, I'll say it's a lie." He narrated almost tearing up.

"I understand you Charlie. But you keep trapping yourself. You're trapping yourself Charlie." Aira replied him in pitiful voice.

"You call this trap?" Charlie said sadly.

"Okay let me ask you Aira. Have you ever been in love before?" He asked with a sad voice.

"Fine. I have not been in love before but l think I have an idea" Aira replied.

"Oh, there we go. An idea. If you could fathom. Then you get to know that what I'm doing now, it's worth it. You get to know that me, fighting to stay with Ella, it's worth it." Charlie cried.

"Charlie, just on please. So you call this love? You think this is love? Fine. I have not been in love before but l know what parental love is. And l have some friends in which l love. Charlie, this is not love. If you really love Ella, you'll tend to make her happy t all costs. Love is, making someone happy no matter what it takes." Aira explained to him.

"I know" Charlie replied in grief.

"Ella is not happy. You see Charlie. Ella used to be the most brilliant person in the class. But because of you, everything changed about her. Because of you Charlie, Ella lost all her friends. Because of you Charlie, everyone stopped talking to Ella. Everyone calls her a weirdo." She lamented pointing out the problems Ella had been facing after his death.

"Charlie, please. Please, Charlie, I'm begging you. Just let nature do her thing. You're dead and dead for good. You can't change anything about that. Let Ella live her life. You can't keep making her live this kind of life anymore. Please Charlie. Let her live her life." Aira pleaded with him.

"Okay can l just ask you for one last thing?" Charlie asked amidst sobs.

"Is it possible for me to talk to Ella again? Is it possible for l and Ella to see again?" Charlie begged in tears.

"Well, l don't know. But I'll try" Aira assured.

"Please " Charlie pleaded further.

Aira suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head. She placed her right hand on her head and screamed in pain.

"Aira, are you okay?" Charlie asked showing concern.

"Yes, I am fine. I think... I have to go." She replied quickly and rushed out of the environment.

When Aira left. Charlie stood there when a female student walked past him but she couldn't see him. When the girl walked on the point Charlie stood. She felt something was there and quickly changed direction and left.
