Julian thought he would finally get to rest. His eyes were drooping, and he had to rub them several times. Mainly because they had played too intensely in the morning, leaving him with little sleep. After that, he listened to Ethan's matters, and then went to meet those other people. His schedule truly left not a single moment of free time to breathe. Julian buried himself in Ethan's embrace, their ten fingers intertwining, savoring this rare, fleeting moment.
He also felt slightly guilty toward Ethan. The man seemed to have poured out his entire heart and soul for him, yet Julian still could not be completely forthright about the real reason he was actually here. Oh well, he would just let CORE take the blame for this.
But it wasn't exactly that CORE was wrongly accused. The previous Julian had genuinely signed up to participate in that experiment.
