Zero froze in shock. He hadn't even seen how the other man had appeared at his side.

With a single shove from Kael, Zero's body smashed through several structures in quick succession.
CRASH—!
Just as Zero scrambled up from the ruins, Kael's hand clamped onto his face.
RUMBLE—!!
Kael drove Zero's face against the high tower of the king area, dragging him along the stone surface.
"Gwahhh!"
"Get off me!!"
Zero lashed out, throwing punch after punch at Kael, but the strikes did nothing. In his Resurrección: Segunda Etapa, Kael's physical abilities had skyrocketed to a level where Zero's attacks couldn't even dent his defense.
Kael countered with his own fists. Every blow felt like Zero was being hammered by solid steel.
"AAAGGHHHH!!"
Zero let out a pained shriek, coughing up blood with every impact.
SHUA!
Kael's tail whipped out, coiling tightly around Zero's neck before he violently hurled the man toward the tower.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!!
Zero's body tore through the tower, smashing through floor after floor.
Kael pointed his index finger at Zero, black magic rapidly swirling and compressing at the tip.
"Cero Oscuras!!"
SHUA—!!
A black beam of light slammed into the tower.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
The tower was systematically obliterated within the black radiance.
"GYAAAHHHH!!"
Enveloped by the dark light, Zero let out a gut-wrenching scream of agony.
Kael descended slowly as Zero, eyes bloodshot and wild, struggled to his feet.
"Heh. You're quite durable, aren't you?"
Zero glared at Kael through gritted teeth. "Brat... it seems I underestimated you a bit. But it ends here. Now, I'll end your life with my ultimate magic."
RUMBLE—!!
A violent surge of magic erupted from Zero.
"History ends before me. The beginning of the end, Genesis Zero!"
"Genesis Zero!!"
"Open, Gate of the Wraith's Wail!!"
"O Travellers of Nil!! Devour the soul!! The memories!! And the very existence of the one before me!!"
"Vanish!! In the name of Zero!!"
BOOM—!
The ghostly gate behind Zero swung open, and countless dark spirits surged out, swarming toward Kael.
Kael pointed his index finger at Zero.
"Cero Oscuras!!!"
SHUA—!!
The black beam tore toward the dark spirits.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
Vast swaths of spirits were instantly vaporized by the black Cero.
"It's useless! Once the Gate of the Wraith's Wail is open, the dark spirits are infinite!! Look! They're already surging back out in an instant!"
Kael remained indifferent. "Is that so?"
"Cero Oscuras."
SHUA—!
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
Another massive wave of spirits was cleared.
"Cero Oscuras."
SHUA—!
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
This time, the spirits were wiped out before they could even fully emerge from the gate.
"Wait!!"
Zero's composure fractured. Even if the spirits were infinite, it still took time for them to manifest from the gate.
Moreover—wasn't that attack supposed to be an ultimate move? Why was this guy using it over and over like it was nothing?
Zero couldn't fathom it. To Kael, Cero Oscuras wasn't exactly a simple attack, but it wasn't far off. In his Segunda Etapa form, firing a Cero Oscuras put absolutely no strain on his body.
Kael ignored Zero's panic.

Kael wiped the slate clean of every last spirit.

Zero was hit directly, his body wracked with pain as he screamed.
When the light faded, Zero was covered in horrific wounds.
"No... impossible... I was actually..."
Zero was in denial. He was the Master of the Oración Seis, yet he was being dismantled by a mere brat.
"Yeah. It's time to end this fight."
Just as Zero expected Kael to move in for the kill, Kael suddenly kicked off the ground, snapped his wings, and shot toward the sky.
Zero looked up, confused. "What is that guy doing?"
Kael hovered high in the sky.
"This distance should be about right."
"Lanza del Relámpago!"
Kael brought his hands together, teal energy condensing between his palms. He then drew his hands apart, manifesting a spear of glowing spiritual energy.
He took a throwing stance in the open air.
SHUA—!
The Lanza del Relámpago streaked toward Nirvana, impaling its surface.
BOOM—!!
A teal pillar of light pierced heaven and earth. A blinding radiance erupted, resembling a massive explosion as it expanded violently in all directions. The teal glow, accompanied by a terrifying shockwave, pulverized everything in its path.
"Uwaaaaaahhh!!!"
The members of the Oración Seis still on Nirvana bore the full brunt of the cataclysmic impact.
"What the hell is that?!"
The members of the Allied Forces, who had already fled Nirvana, witnessed the spectacle from afar.
"Iron Rock Wall!!"
Jura immediately cast his defensive magic, conjuring a massive stone barrier to shield the group.

The terrifying shockwave tore past them, snapping every tree in the vicinity like toothpicks.

Everyone screamed instinctively.
After a long moment, the shockwave finally subsided. The group slowly peeked out from behind the stone wall. The ground was scarred with horrific destruction. The once-lush forest was now stripped of its topsoil, leaving only bare earth. Countless trees had been uprooted and shredded.
And in the distance, where the massive mobile city 'Nirvana' had stood... there was only an empty void.
Nirvana had vanished without a trace. A city of that scale had simply been erased from existence.
"This... this... what exactly just happened?!"
The crowd was frozen in shock. What kind of attack was that?
"What was that just now?! Was it Etherion?!"
Ichiya asked, his eyes wide with terror. In their minds, only the Magic Council's Etherion could possibly erase a mobile city that large.
Erza's voice rang out, "No. It wasn't Etherion. It was Kael. Kael's attack destroyed Nirvana."
"Kael?!!"
This time, not just Ichiya and Jura, but even Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy were stunned.
Lucy stammered, "Ka... Kael... Kael can use an attack that terrifying?!"
Erza looked at the wasteland, her eyes filled with awe. She nodded. "Yes. I've only seen it once before. You all know the story of Kael slaying the dragon a year ago, right? He used this move to kill the dragon. It wasn't nearly this powerful back then. It seems the strength of that move has grown exponentially alongside his magic power."
