Chapter 85 - Chapter 85

Hearing the question from the man who called himself Uchiha Madara, Sarutobi Asuma lowered his head and answered with quiet respect.

"The Impure World Reincarnation has been successfully researched. As long as it's needed… powerful shinobi can be revived at any time."

Obito's visible eye lingered on Asuma, a faint, unreadable glint passing through it.

"Asuma," he said calmly, "you studied every forbidden technique in the Scroll of Seals… all for the sake of revenge against Namikaze Kirito?"

Asuma remained silent, his head still bowed.

Obito gave a low hum. "Remember what I told you. Once our plan succeeds… the world you desire will be yours."

With that, he vanished into the darkness.

Only Asuma remained beneath the shadows, his gaze burning with restrained fury.

What had happened to Kurenai replayed endlessly in his mind.

Combined with the looming threat of Namikaze Kirito, he had secretly taken a copy of the Scroll of Seals from the Sarutobi clan… and severed his ties with Konoha.

An official alliance with Obito.

To him, the Eye of the Moon Plan was the only escape from a reality he could no longer accept.

In the Hidden Rain Village, Namikaze Kirito walked quietly through the narrow streets, rain pattering softly against his cloak.

He showed no emotion.

Soon, he arrived at the village's central plaza—an open expanse steeped in an unnatural silence. Beneath the still air lurked a sharp, murderous tension.

The rain gradually slowed, but heavy clouds still choked the sky, casting the village in a cold, oppressive gloom.

Without warning, countless tiny white creatures crawled toward him in a dense wave.

Kirito's eyes narrowed.

Others might not recognize them—but he did.

Deidara's explosive clay.

Through his Observation Haki, he had already sensed the presence of every member of the Akatsuki. Still, he hadn't expected the boy from the Hidden Stone to strike first.

"Lightning Release: Ground Current."

Kirito crouched and pressed his palm to the earth.

Lightning surged outward in a flashing arc, neutralizing the incoming clay explosives before they could detonate.

A scoff echoed through the air.

"So your art really is just children's toys," Kirito said lightly. "And you call that art?"

"Sasori-senpai, every art has its weaknesses!" Deidara snapped.

"Quiet, Deidara," Sasori replied coldly. "His head is worth a fortune. Leave him to me."

"Hahaha! Let me handle this!" Hidan laughed wildly. "Anyone who doesn't believe in Lord Jashin deserves to die!"

As their voices rang out, members of the Akatsuki emerged from every direction, closing in on Kirito.

"So much for the Akatsuki not fighting as a group," Kirito said with an easy smile. "Looks like everyone's here."

"Namikaze Kirito."

A calm, authoritative voice cut through the tension.

The Deva Path of Pain, orange hair spiked and face lined with black receivers, stepped forward.

"Where did you obtain information about our organization?"

Kirito's smile sharpened.

"That opening line's wrong," he replied. "Shouldn't you be warning me about defying the will of a god?"

Pain's gaze hardened. "You know more than you should."

Without another word, he thrust out his hand.

"Shinra Tensei!"

Boom!

A colossal repulsive force erupted outward, tearing up the surrounding ground. The devastation resembled the Hyūga clan's Rotation, but its scale was incomparably greater.

"Perfect timing," Kirito murmured, eyes gleaming.

He extended his own hand as darkness surged forward.

"Release."

Black energy collided head-on with Shinra Tensei. Friction ignited the air between them, sparks flashing as opposing forces clashed violently.

His power did more than repel—it devoured.

The sheer impact left the watching Akatsuki members momentarily stunned.

They had all joined under Pain's overwhelming strength—under the legendary Rinnegan, the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths.

And yet someone stood against him… evenly matched.

One-on-one, none of them doubted it now:

Namikaze Kirito was a monster.

"So you possess this level of power…" Pain said quietly. "Then I'll fight you without restraint."

He formed a seal.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

White smoke billowed across the plaza.

When it cleared, the remaining Five Paths of Pain stood beside him.

For the first time, the full Six Paths of Pain were assembled before the Akatsuki. Even the organization's members watched in tense anticipation.

"Asura Path: Strange Wrist Rocket!"

"Animal Path: Summoning Jutsu! Giant Bird! Giant Bull!"

"Naraka Path: King of Hell!"

Three Paths unleashed their techniques while the others closed in at once.

The Preta Path reached to absorb his chakra.

The Human Path lunged to seize his soul.

The Deva Path pressed forward with ruthless taijutsu.

Attacks rained down from every direction.

Kirito remained perfectly calm.

He clasped his hands before his chest, then thrust both fists outward.

"Air Quake!"

Cracks splintered through space itself.

The power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit erupted.

Pain was blasted backward, eyes narrowing.

"What kind of power is this…?"

He had never seen a technique like it. No hand seals. No chakra flow he could recognize. Yet its destructive force was undeniable.

The Human and Preta Paths were hurled away. The summoned beasts fared even worse, collapsing under the shockwave.

"Everyone—attack together!"

At Pain's command, the Akatsuki surged forward as one.

Each member was Kage-level. Their combined assault shook the battlefield, the earth trembling as multicolored ninjutsu lit the dark sky.

"Wood Release: Palm Clap!"

Kirito slammed his hands together.

A flash of white light burst outward.

Every incoming ninjutsu was erased—neutralized instantly by the Tremor Fruit's overwhelming force.

The Akatsuki showed no hesitation.

If ninjutsu failed… then taijutsu would decide it.

The Six Paths and every member rushed him simultaneously.

With Observation Haki guiding him and his inhuman physique unleashed, Kirito met them head-on.

Impact after impact rang out.

Every strike was blocked.

"Air Quake!"

A pale halo shimmered around his fists as he struck.

In an instant, his opponents experienced the sickening sensation of their organs shifting under the shockwaves.

"What a monster!" Hidan roared. "But once I get your blood, you're mine!"

He swung his scythe in a vicious arc toward Kirito's neck.

Kirito calmly raised his arm, Armament Haki coating it in hardened black.

Clang!

The scythe slammed against his defense with a metallic crash—
