The next morning, the dawn light spread across the world.

Jiang Qin slipped out of his house. He rode his bicycle around the city area for a while before entering the [Jizhou City Zoo].

Because it was a Sunday during the summer break, the entrance to the zoo was swarming with people. It was even more crowded than a temple fair.

One hour later, Jiang Qin squeezed his way out of the zoo. He had almost lost his shoes in the crush of the crowd.

Once he was outside, he crouched by the gate and drank a large gulp of water. Then he pulled out his Nokia phone and called Guo Zihang. He told him to come over.

Guo Zihang lived nearby. After receiving the call from Jiang Qin, he immediately hopped on his bicycle and rushed toward the zoo.

"Huff! Huff!" (I am exhausted but I made it!).

Guo Zihang arrived while panting heavily. Although he was covered in sweat, he was in an excellent mood. He looked forward to being summoned by Jiang Qin every day. He felt that at any moment, there would be another opportunity to earn money. However, when he finally found Jiang Qin, he froze in place.

Jiang Qin was crouching on the ground. He was holding a plucked chicken in each hand.

"Old Jiang, what are you doing?" Guo Zihang asked.

Jiang Qin waved the chickens in his hands. "I bought two chickens for ten yuan. I am giving one to you. Take it back and have your mother stew it for you."

Guo Zihang looked at the sign for the [Jizhou City Zoo]. He was shocked. "Why did you bring animals with you to visit the zoo?"

"I did not bring them. I bought them here. These are meant to be food for the tigers. In the market, one chicken costs eleven yuan. However, if you buy their chickens to feed their tigers, the price is cut in half."

"Then... why are you not feeding the tigers?"

Jiang Qin looked at him with a sharp gaze. "I bought these half-price chickens with my own [Skill]. Why should I feed them to a tiger?"

Guo Zihang opened his mouth. He hesitated for a long time before speaking. "You are exploiting the zoo's system."

"Do not talk nonsense. Do you want it or not?"

"I want it! I love eating chicken!"

Guo Zihang took the chicken from Jiang Qin. He gripped it by the neck and looked at it. His expression suddenly became very complicated.

He could already imagine the scene of the zoo tigers and the manager checking the accounts. The numbers would never match.

The tiger would say that he did not eat it. He would tell the manager not to frame him.

The manager would tell the tiger to stop talking. He would insist the tiger ate it.

The tiger would get angry because the manager stole his chicken. He would repeat that he did not eat it.

The manager would then ask if a dog ate it instead.

"Old Jiang, why did you come to the zoo to buy chickens?"

"I planned to buy half-price chickens in bulk. I would transport them out secretly and sell them at the market for the low price of ten yuan. I could double my money instantly."

"Then why did you only buy two?"

"I observed the situation. The security guard at the gate looks quite [High Level]. I do not think I can defeat him. That is why I called you here to be the vanguard. I wanted you to test his [Combat Power] for me."

"Do not do that, Old Jiang! I am a coward. I cannot even curse at people without stuttering, let alone fight!"

"You useless thing. You only know how to eat!"

Jiang Qin put his chicken into a plastic bag. He opened his water bottle and took another sip.

Exploiting loopholes was indeed a fast way to make money. However, it was not something he could do forever. He did not want to cause trouble. He wanted to earn money with his dignity intact. Furthermore, this kind of small-scale operation was far from the goals he had set for his [Rebirth].

Jiang Qin stood up. He handed his chicken to Guo Zihang as well. He asked him to take it home. Then he rode his bicycle to his next destination: the [Jizhou City Library].

He was currently troubled by the issue of his [First Pot of Gold]. He had thought of many [Strategies], but none of them were feasible.

'Damn it. Life without a [System] is truly difficult.'

Even though he had no ideas, he did not plan to stay at home. If a person became lazy, they would only get lazier. This was a truth he had learned in his past life. Therefore, he decided to look for books at the library. He wanted to see if there was a [Golden House] hidden in the pages. Perhaps they would give him some inspiration.

[How to Become a Charming Man for Rich Women]

[Effective Opening Lines After Meeting a Rich Woman]

[Fifteen Gentlemanly Details to Impress a Rich Woman]

[The Magnificent Transformation of the Third Generation Tang Sanzang]

[Success Stories of Relying on Rich Women]

Jiang Qin picked a few books from the humanities and social sciences section. He planned to study them carefully.

To be honest, he felt that given his current situation, the only shortcut to obtaining his [First Pot of Gold] was to find a rich woman. He was a strong young man. Earning money through hard work was not embarrassing.

Jiang Qin carried the stack of books to the reading area. Before he could sit down, his gaze was drawn to the southeast corner.

A young girl was sitting there. She wore a long dress that cinched at the waist. Her forearms resting on the table were as white as snow. Her eyes under her thick eyelashes were as clear as water. Her red lips were soft and full. Her smooth long hair fell over her shoulders. Under the sunlight, she shone like a bright pearl.

The girl was currently holding a thick book. She was reading it seriously. Her gaze flickered constantly. She looked quiet and obedient.

Jiang Qin froze. A memory was activated in his mind.

[Feng Nanshu]. The genius girl from Class 1. She was the silent and untouchable [Goddess]. She was the true [Ideal Girl] of Chengnan High School.

It was said that she was picked up and dropped off every day by a car with wings on its logo. She was accompanied by a private driver and bodyguards. Her family background was very mysterious.

Some said her father was a billionaire involved in international business. Some said she was a princess from the capital. Others said she was an illegitimate daughter who had to be hidden. There were many rumors, but none were very credible.

However, Feng Nanshu truly possessed the aura of a wealthy young lady. She was cold and had no friends. Aside from answering questions in class, she never spoke to anyone.

Because of her cold personality and the threat of her large bodyguards, she had countless admirers, but no one dared to confess to her.

Chu Siqi was already the dream girl for many. However, she was still inferior to Feng Nanshu.

After going to university, Jiang Qin had met many girls who could compete with Chu Siqi. But Feng Nanshu remained an existence that would still amaze him whenever he thought of her.

Lu Xun did not lie. There truly are beauties as fair as jade found within books.

'Wait. Did Lu Xun actually say that?'

Jiang Qin thought for a moment. He decided it did not matter. If he could not remember the author, the quote belonged to Lu Xun.

At that moment, Feng Nanshu seemed to realize someone was watching her. She looked up slightly.

The moment her eyes met Jiang Qin's, her eyelashes trembled. She quickly focused her gaze back on the book in her hands.

'She is truly aloof.'

Jiang Qin gave her an honest evaluation. Then he walked over and sat at the table opposite her.

Reading was a boring task. When he could not focus, looking at a beautiful woman was a good choice. He was reading to make money, and he was looking at the beauty to help him read. In the end, they were both [Tools]. This did not violate his principle of putting money first.

Jiang Qin placed a book in front of him. His gaze accidentally drifted to the book in Feng Nanshu's hands.

[The Magic-Eyed Girl Peggy Sue]

'Hmm?'

'Should a girl with such a cold aura not be reading something like [Kafka on the Shore]?'

'Why is she reading a children's fantasy adventure novel?'

While Jiang Qin was dazed, the novel in front of her suddenly moved upward.

Her face, which had been partially visible, was now completely hidden. She did not even leave her beautiful eyes for him to see.

Jiang Qin recovered his senses and raised an eyebrow.

'She will not even let me see half of her face?'

'Aloof. She is truly aloof.'

Jiang Qin did not care. He reached out and opened the book in front of him.
