Hey everyone. First off, thank you to everyone following Mame's journey through the constant Forks drizzle and his rising tension with the Cullens!
You might have noticed a sudden influx of content—I had 6 chapters sitting in a queue that were supposed to publish every other day, and they just went live. I hope you enjoy the mass release!
However, seeing the story progress has made me take a step back and look at the foundation of the fic. I'm at a crossroads as a writer, and since you guys are the ones taking this journey with me, I want your input.
I'm strongly considering doing a reboot of this series.
What would a reboot look like?
The core plot wouldn't drastically change. We are still dealing with the gray light of Forks, Mame breaking his human limiters, and the Cullens trying to figure out the anomaly living next door. But a reboot would allow me to make it a much better read. I want to refine:
The System Mechanics: Cleaner rules for the Transparent Window, better scaling for his Rank progressions, and clearer limitations on his Inventory.
Mame's Background: Fleshing out his meta-knowledge, how he processes being trapped in a fictional world, and the entity that sent him here.
World & Pacing: Smoothing out the dialogue and interactions (keeping Charlie a man of action and Bella quiet, but making the emotional beats hit much harder).
The alternative?
We just power through the current version all the way to the end. It's still going to be a wild ride, but we will keep the current, slightly rougher edges and just keep charging forward.
