The crowd noise was still climbing from different directions.
Two journalists were now talking over each other. Someone in the back had an opinion they wanted everyone to hear. The photographer had resumed taking photographs, which meant that whatever happened next would be printed regardless.
Noel stood in the middle of it and kept his face still and thought about how long it would take to get through all of this and into the station and to Rowan.
Perhaps if he just told the truth, everything would come to a resolution. That's what he wanted to do...
Then Bennett stepped forward.
He moved with unhurried confidence. He, of course, owns different media companies and he's well known. He has the power to manage them.
