Chapter 3 - Chapter 3(Over Powered)

Although their numbers were small, they had turned the tide of battle in their favor.

In only a few minutes, they had wiped out nearly half of the Arlands' troops.

The reason Revilia had brought such little soldiers was not because they were lacking.

No…

It was because every single one of them had been trained, molded, and hardened under extreme conditions—strong enough to take down Advanced Tier Beasts.

Imagine a wild boar standing over six feet tall and weighing nearly a ton. It could demolish a small house or uproot a massive tree with ease.

That was a Basic Tier Beast.

Now imagine a snake so enormous it could coil around a house more than twenty times, releasing venom as a toxic vapor. That creature alone could wipe out a thousand of those boars.

Now imagine something capable of killing a thousand of those snakes.

That was the power of an Advanced Tier Beast.

The sound of distant shockwaves echoed across the battlefield

The sound of Leo's battle caught their attention, even from afar.

"Wow… what was that?" said Jack, the masked man.

"It came from the direction Leo headed," said Golian, the giant.

Parts of Eva's armor began to glow white, a violent whirlwind forming around her.

"He might be in trouble."

With a burst of compressed air, Eva shot forward like a rocket, tearing through the battlefield. Golian and Jack followed closely behind.

As she closed in, her eyes widened.

Leo's body was hurled through the air, crashing violently into the ground.

"LEO!!"

Her blood boiled.

Using the wind currents, she pushed herself even faster—appearing instantly in front of the demon, her blade already in motion.

She struck at its neck.

CLANG!

The blade bounced off.

The demon pulled back its fist, preparing a devastating counterattack—

—but before it could land, a massive axe slammed into its arm, knocking the blow aside.

Eva used the opening to retreat, creating distance.

Turning, she saw Golian and Jack standing behind her.

The air around Jack distorted. His dual swords ignited—one glowing white, the other black.

He vanished.

Reappearing directly in front of the demon's chest, Jack brought both blades down in a cross-shaped strike.

BOOM!

The impact echoed across the battlefield.

But once again—

The swords bounced off the demon's hardened skin.

The demon's claws lashed out—

—but Jack teleported away just in time.

"So," Jack said, reappeared beside Eva, "what's the plan?"

Before she could answer—

A voice spoke from behind them.

"Yh...what's the plan"

All three froze and instantly leapt away.

"He got us off guard," Jack thought, muscles tense. Just how fast is this guy?

How is he that fast…? Eva thought, her grip tightening.

"Oh, come on," the demon said with a wide grin. "Do I really look that terrifying?"

Ice vapor spilled from Eva's sheath.

In one swift motion, she drew her blade—launching a crescent of freezing energy toward the demon.

The attack struck true, freezing its legs solid.

Golian charged in immediately, swinging his massive sword downward.

The demon crossed its arms and blocked the blow head-on.

Jack teleported again—aiming straight for its eyes.

Something flashed.

Pain exploded through Jack's shoulder.

He teleported away, barely landing on one knee.

His vision blurred. His arm burned.

Looking at his shoulder, the skin around there had turned purple.

That's when he noticed it.

The demon's tail.

"C-Careful…" Jack forced out. "His tail is pois—"

He collapsed.

"JACK!!" Golian shouted, turning toward him.

"BAD IDEA."

The demon smashed Golian's axe aside and drove its fist straight into his stomach.

Golian coughed blood and dropped to his knees.

With a cruel swipe, the demon's claws tore through his helmet.

Blood spilled as Golian fell motionless to the ground.

"Well," the demon said, smiling as it turned to Eva, "I guess you're the only one left."

The battlefield had gone silent.

Not because the Revilian soldiers had defeated the Arlands—

—but because both sides were watching.

They all knew this fight would decide their fate.

"So this is it, huh…" Eva whispered, her arms falling to her sides.

"Once again… I face a foe that greatly outmatches me"

The demon appeared before her in an instant.

"A shame," it said. "I thought you'd last longer than your leader."

It lifted Eva by the neck.

"Don't worry," the demon said calmly, raising its hand.

"You'll join your friends soon."

Its hand shot forward—

—but suddenly, its arm stopped.

The demon's eyes widened in shock.

Standing before it was a bloodied figure, gripping its wrist.

"…Leo?" Eva whispered.
