Bryce paced around the hospital like a madman. Even Mariam couldn't get him to calm down, or sit, or do anything. It has been hours since they took her inside the emergency room. It has been hours since he nearly beat up a doctor who tried to stop him from going in there with her. They weren't disclosing the severity of the situation to him, and it was only a matter of time before he lost his brain cells completely.
The entire situation was very antagonizing, and it catapulted him back to a time in the past that he was trying so hard to forget and move on from.
Bryce felt his hands tremble. Each time he thought of Hera in the state that he had met her, his entire body shook involuntarily. It was happening just like it did in the past. Just like it happened to his mother. He rubbed his hands together nervously.
