Just as he finished speaking, his tired, unfocused eyes suddenly sharpened, becoming piercing as though they could see through space itself.
At the same time, he sensed an unfamiliar yet strangely familiar presence.
Almost instantly, Goku's head snapped upward with spring-like speed, his gaze locking onto the sky above.
When he clearly saw the scene unfolding in the air, his jaw dropped in astonishment.
"T-That...is that really Gohan?!" Goku shouted in disbelief, his voice filled with shock and confusion.
With his arms crossed, Vegeta solemnly nodded.
"I don't know what happened," Vegeta said seriously, "but I'm certain Gohan's strength now surpasses yours, Kakarot."
Goku immediately sprang to his feet with an excited look on his face. Even just looking at Gohan's silhouette, he could feel the overwhelming energy radiating from him.
"Vegeta, it's not a matter of thinking, Gohan's power has already far surpassed ours."
Goku then cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone and yelled toward the sky: "Gohan! We're counting on you next!"
High above, Gohan heard him. He turned and smiled, giving a small nod.
Suddenly, a violent noise erupted from the distance.
From within the smoke, a flash of purple light burst forth.
Beerus was standing up once again.

With incredible speed, he appeared directly in front of Gohan, his arms still calmly folded behind his back.
"Not bad. You're called Gohan, right? This God appreciates you."
Gohan showed no reaction to Beerus's praise. He only wanted to express himself through his fists. His body moved again, and a gust of wind brushed past Beerus's cheek.
His dominant punch was inches from Beerus's face.
Lightning flickered around Gohan's fist, its destructive power needed no explanation.
Beerus thought to himself, 'If I get hit by this, Whis will definitely make fun of me.'
