There was no response.
Nidhi simply hung up the call and blocked the number.
Just as she was about to go back inside the lab, another call came from a different unknown number.
Nidhi became irritated.
Without even thinking, she could tell it was Alok again, shamelessly calling her from a new number.
She blocked that number as well and went back into the lab.
Alok had already guessed that Nidhi wouldn't answer his calls.
That was why he had bought several new numbers so he could keep calling her again and again.
Whenever she blocked one number, he would call from another.
Eventually, when Nidhi switched off her phone, Alok felt completely helpless.
"What happened?" Maya asked, noticing his troubled expression.
"Did the call disconnect? Did she say anything?"
"She switched off her phone," Alok said with a heavy sigh.
Then his gaze fell on his daughter sitting on the sofa, crying and looking extremely pitiful.
