turning his attention back to the nightmare spell he saw the new words before him

everything went black and Adam opened his eyes.
he was strapped to a table, for a moment he forgot why, but then remembered this was the procedure for those in their first nightmare.
Adam looked around, he saw only one other person in the room, he was sat on a plastic chair staring directly at Adam, he was wearing government uniform with a two star badge, indicating he was an awakened he had long white hair and similarly pale white eyes, he was smiling gently at Adam.
"now that you have survived your first nightmare, you are entitled to many options, you can choose to receive therapy, you can join the awakened academy, or you can train for the winter solstice on your own."
the gentle awakened paused for a moment before adding
"the third option isn't a good idea, you won't have the necessary preparation for the dream realm, I would recommend you pick the second"
"I'll go to the awakened academy and I don't need therapy"
"great, I'll call a PTV to pick you up, change into this"
the awakened seemed to contemplate something before saying "when your there, only take wilderness survival lessons"
"Why would I do that, shouldn't I focus on learning to fight"
"with only a month left until the winter solstice their is no point in trying to learn to use a weapon, besides why learn to fight if the dream realm kills you before you can encounter anything"
after Adam changed into the blue tracksuit given to him by the awakened he took a PTV to the awakened academy
Adam stood in front of the massive red gates, stood in front of him were two other sleepers, also wearing the police issued track suits
both had short hair, but while one had hair as black as shadows, the other had hair as white as a star, they were like yin and yang.
'yin and yang, where have I heard that before.' Adam forgot what he was thinking about.

A large amount of Adams runes had changed upon the error infecting the spell, he had lost all but one of his Memories and all of his Echoes, to make things worse his aspect had been decreased in rank, going from divine to supreme.
it was as Adam had these thoughts that he was distracted by the sounds of a gate opening, following the two in front, he entered the academy.
Adam entered the spacious well lit sleeper compound, following the two sleepers in front of him, they were taken to a room where around 100 sleepers were already waiting for the beginning of the induction ceremony. they all seemed both tense and excited.
everyone here wanted to talk, which was perfect for Adam, because what he needed most was information.
for some reason Adam couldn't remember anything, he had spent the past year barely surviving on the outskirts, but before that? he couldn't remember anything.
he remembered basic knowledge, like the ranks, classes, Memories and Echoes.
but he didn't know what knowledge he could be missing.

Adam hadn't learnt anything new, people seemed to only want to talk about their first nightmares and the Memories they obtained, but Adam didn't share either of those secrets, for some reason he felt as though he knew the correct course of action.
which is why, after the lecture about the nightmare realm, when he was asked about his first nightmare and aspect, he told them nothing.
instead returning to his room and only picking to learn wilderness survival.

after four weeks of learning to make fires cook food and so on, Adam had made only one friend in the awakened academy, sunny, the only other person to learn wilderness survival.
he had also managed to get his hands on a fire piston, which he placed in his bag of holding, as well as food provisions to last him a month, after all, people usually spent only 1-2 weeks in the dream realm, so a months worth of food was already overkill.
the main reason he became friends with sunny was his brutal honesty, sunny never lied, even if it was something embarrassing.
