Note: This chapter serves as a run down on the lore of the story which will be explained later on in the story. Hence it will contain spoilers. Feel free to skip this if you want to piece together the information yourself throughout the story.
In a space which could only be described as beyond transcended, resided seven large figures sitting upon equally large thrones.
Their bodies were inhuman, incorporeal, more like concepts that exist on a different plane.
Infinitely large and present, yet taking up no space at the same time.
They looked down upon the world amongst the stars in the night sky, watching the ants fight and crawl their way up the tower. To them who stood almost at the pinnacle, the humans below were objects that lived to serve and strengthen them.
It was then that one of the two giant figures who still had a vaguely humanoid form spoke.
[Has there been any signs of 'him'?]
His words, akin to mental transmissions, reverberated throughout the space they resided in, reaching even the furthest corners of that level.
The other six tensed their bodies at the mention of 'him'.
Their show of emotions affected the whole tower, down to the first floor.
The system buffered.
Cultivation stopped.
Mystical beasts lost the light in their eyes.
Espers' powers malfunctioned.
Weapons lost their ego.
Humans were unable to access their battle will.
"Compose yourselves."
The same figure spoke once again, but using his voice this time. If his mental transmissions could span the entire ninety ninth level, his physical words caused the entire floor to tremble.
His command made the other six figures immediately regain their clarity, as the entire tower started functioning normally once again.
[Remember, we are all fundamentally tied to this world and even the slightest actions can cause disastrous consequences. We wouldn't want the Administrator paying us a visit, would we?]
The rest showed their understanding, but anger could still be made out from the faces of their conceptual forms.
The being whose body embodied the modern internet then replied.
[Even after two years, there is still no sightings of him.]
[What about his followers?] The being whose body kept morphing between different animals and creatures asked.
[They have been forced back to the Lower Heavenly Realm. Like the rest of you, I have instructed my followers to kill any of them on sight.] The being from before replied.
It was then the figure shaped like a lotus flower spoke, [I still don't understand why you all are so intent on hunting Noir's followers down.]
His words caused the figure shaped like a weapon to slam its imaginary hand on the rest of his throne.
[It's to prevent another one like him from appearing again! What do you not understand, Owner Of Cultivation?]
[Why not? It would be fun, I really regretted not fighting him to the death.]
[You insane battle frenzy maniac! How could you wish for someone like him to appear again]
[Enough.]
The humanoid figure who originally spoke waved his hand at both of them.
Just a word from him and the other two instantly quieted down, sinking back into their thrones.
[Owner Of Weapons, I understand your frustrations about the Owner Of Cultivation, but please control yourself. As for you, do understand that the reason why we must hunt Noir down is because he is an anomaly.]
[Tsk, fine.] The Owner Of Cultivation gave a half hearted response.
[Owner Of Battlewill, Owner Of Espers. What about you two?] The humanoid figure turned to the two remaining figures who hadn't spoken yet.
[No, neither I nor my followers have found any movement from him.] The Owner Of Battlewill, who looked like a collapsing universe, replied first.
The Owner Of Espers, who was the other humanoid figure, just shook her head without saying anything.
[In that case, we will end the meeting here. Return to your holy domains and continue to search for him.]
[Yes, Owner Of Magic.]
The other six replied before disappearing from the space, throne and all, in an instant, leaving behind only the Owner Of Magic.
He lingered in that empty space, brooding in silence, before silently muttering to himself.
[After all, how can we allow a false supreme god who hasn't even created his own crown to sit amongst us.]
[Noir... the Devourer.]
General information—
People who are transported into the tower don't age. The only way the people who get transported die in the tower is either by dying when challenging the next floor or getting killed by other people.
There are seven main power systems that all those in the tower can use.
✽ Magic—Created by the Owner Of Magic.
The basis of all abilities, even the power systems made by the other Supreme Gods.
Consists of nine rings which form around the magic core in a person's body.
To form a ring, a person must form the four axes first. And to create an axis, they must meet certain requirements which get harder the higher the amount of rings the person has.
✽ The System—Created by the Owner Of System.
A RPG platform that allows people to level up, gain skills and increase stats. There are four main stats of every player.
Strength.
Agility.
Stamina.
Intelligence.
Each stat goes up to one hundred, before evolving into a percentage form.
Eg. Inhuman Strength: 12.0%
The stats can evolve a total of seven times, consisting of:
Mortal.
Inhuman.
Elite.
Saint.
Demigod.
Angel.
God.
A person using the system is classified by ranks the same as their stats, and is only given the title when three out of four have reached that specific rank.
Eg. Player: Name. Rank Saint.
Saint Strength: 43.5%
Saint Agility: 67.1%
Saint Stamina: 23.7%
Elite Intelligence: 87.9%
✽ Cultivation—Created by the Owner Of Cultivation.
Cultivation consists of twelve constellations.

They start from the top to the bottom. To advance to the next constellation, they must compress the magic into their hearts to form stars corresponding to the constellation.
✽ Esper Powers—Created by the Owner Of Espers.
Each person, when they first enter the tower, is given a specific esper power that is random between individuals. They can train their powers slowly by continuously using them to improve their output.
Depending on the output of esper powers, they are divided into five categories.
Dormant—able to manifest.Awakened—able to be projected.Evolved—able to perform complex tasks and display attributes not seen in the original esper power.Perfect—able to invoke rules that affect organic and inorganic matter.Transcendent—Owner Of Espers.
People can also place restrictions upon themselves to improve the power of their esper abilities.
✽ Human Battle Will or Spirit Energy—Created by the Owner Of Battlewill.
Depending on the strength of a person's soul, they may manifest it into reality and use that power.
Extremely subjective and does not have a fixed power system.
✽ Beast Transformation—Created by the Owner Of Magical Beast.
Use the blood of beasts and monsters to brew potions and consume them to gain the attributes and powers of that beast or monster.
Beasts and monsters are categorized into eight.
Normal.Spiritual.Dominant.Humanoid.Beyond.Demonic or Angelic.Supreme.Mythical.
✽ Ego Weapons—Created by the Owner Of Weapons.
Some weapons can be turned into ego weapons by imbuing one's will into it constantly. These weapons evolve alongside their creators.
They can be categorized into six.
Normal.Uncommon.Rare.Epic.Legendary.Unique.
✽ Rules of the Tower.
There is a common zone every ten floors in the tower with the exception of the ninety floor onwards.
These common zones contain different civilisations that have been built by the people who have been transported into the tower.
Those who are staying in the common zones are forced to challenge at least one floor every five years, if not they will die. This only applies to the eighty ninth floor and below.
The tower is divided into ten segments, each consisting of ten floors starting from floor one to ten, eleven to twenty, and so on.
The names of these segments are:
Tutorial Realm.Lower Realm.Middle Realm.Upper Realm.Immortal Realm.Higher Immortal Realm.Lower Heavenly Realm.Middle Heavenly Realm.Upper Heavenly Realm.Transcendent Realm.
To enter the Transcendent Realm, one must create their own power system and transcend into a higher plane, besides amassing a following of ten million and reaching the pinnacle of magic.
Once ascended, they may influence every single floor below them, as they become part of the tower.
✽ Hierarchy of the Tower.
Enforcers. Basic foot grunts which oversee the tutorial floors.Supervisors. Manage the foot grunts and oversee the entire Middle Realm and under.Chief Officers. Oversee the entire Higher Immortal Realm and under.Arch Angels. Oversee the entire Upper Heavenly Realm and under.Administrator. The owner and supervisor of the entire tower.
