They were eating in silence.
The quiet stretched long enough to make Sofia uncomfortable.
"So," she said finally, breaking the tension, "what's your deal?"
Orion glanced up, remaining calm.
"You came out of nowhere, causing all sorts of trouble and getting close to Lilian—even though you know a powerful man like Ryan is after her. Your actions are reckless. But I know you're smart—it feels like you don't even care about Ryan's power or reach. So tell me… who are you really?"
Orion blinked, momentarily taken aback. He hadn't expected her to be this sharp.
"I'm just a—"
Sofia cut him off sharply. "And don't say anything like you're just a commoner. That excuse doesn't work on me. If you were ordinary, Lilian wouldn't even glance at you. So tell me the truth."
