Chapter 2 - 2. Powerful elementary lightning magic

Tang Yue had been gone for nearly half a year, so her story was naturally quite long. Just a simple recounting of it took until dusk.

"Coo-coo-coo~"

It wasn't until Tang Miao's stomach protested with a growl that the two of them got up and jumped off the Black Totem Snake's head.

Tang Yue was a bit better, after all, she was now an Intermediate Mage.

After leaving the center of the lake, the two headed towards their village. The Black Totem Snake also shrunk its body and coiled on Tang Miao's shoulder.

Seeing this, Tang Yue said helplessly, "Do you bring it with you every day…?"

"Yeah! It's my loyal little fanboy now."

Tang Miao glanced at the mini Black Totem Snake on his shoulder, then looked at Tang Yue, his eyes practically turning into heart shapes.

Tang Yue, annoyed, reached out and pinched Tang Miao's ear, scolding him, "Didn't I tell you, the big guy can't leave here!!"

"Ow, ow, ow…"

Tang Miao was on the verge of tears... After all, he used to flirt with her as his wife, and now she was practically his elder... Seeing Tang Miao wailing like a ghost, Tang Yue said helplessly, "Please~ I'm not even using much strength yet!"

Tang Miao flashed away from her hand, then reached out and wrapped an arm around her slender waist. With a slight pull, the two stood face to face. He chuckled, "Oh, I'm just practicing first!"

They were pressed close together, and the feeling was... Tang Miao was absolutely thrilled!

Tang Yue felt squeezed and a little shy, wanting to escape Tang Miao's embrace. But his strength was surprisingly greater than hers? She couldn't push him away... Seeing Tang Miao pouting and leaning in, Tang Yue instinctively reached out to block him, asking in surprise, "When did you get so strong!?"

Although she was a woman, she was also an Intermediate Mage.

While a mage's physique wasn't necessarily super strong, she shouldn't be held by an ordinary person and unable to break free, right!?

It seemed a kiss was out of the question, so Tang Miao could only say, "Oh~ I was just so engrossed in listening to your story. You don't know yet, do you? I'm a mage now too."

Tang Yue was surprised to hear this. "You awakened!?"

But soon, she felt something was off. Although almost everyone in this village was a mage, if someone awakened, her uncle, Tang Zhong, would know immediately. Tang Zhong might not pay attention to others, but Tang Miao, who was chosen by the Black Totem Snake, couldn't possibly go unnoticed, right!?

Then Tang Yue quickly added, "When did this happen? How come I don't know?"

Seeing her puzzled expression, Tang Miao let go of her hand. Then he replied, "It's because your phone was always unreachable, so I didn't get a chance to tell you."

Then, Tang Miao began to connect the Star Dusts, one... three... until the seventh Star Dust aligned with the other six Star Dusts.

In an instant, a dazzling and enchanting Star Path appeared within the beautiful Star Dust, radiating a purple lightning-like Star Energy. With the first Star Dust as a medium, it streaked past the other six Star Dusts like a meteor, leaving a long, magnificent purple tail!

Star Path formed!

Magic appeared!

"Purple Sky, Lightning Seal, Python Mark!"

As Tang Miao completed the magic, he blasted it towards the ground in the distance.

"Boom~!"

A purple lightning, deeper than ordinary lightning magic, struck down from the sky. Then, a five or six-meter semi-circular deep pit appeared on the ground.

Looking at the ground split by the lightning, Tang Yue's mouth hung wide open... For a moment, she couldn't believe it was real?

"This…"

Tang Yue was at a loss for words. She then looked around, and after confirming no one was present, she went to Tang Miao, grabbed him, and walked into the woods.

Suddenly being pulled by Tang Yue towards the small woods, Tang Miao's mind went wild... After all, this kind of thing was usually what he liked to do!

After they entered the woods, Tang Yue became vigilant again, and after confirming there were no outsiders, she looked at Tang Miao with a serious expression and said, "Tang Miao, tell me the truth, what's going on? Did… did you… did you come into contact with anyone strange!?"

Tang Miao had originally wanted to tell Tang Yue that there were mosquitoes here; while roughing it was exciting, a mosquito bite was extremely uncomfortable.

However, hearing Tang Yue's question and seeing her so serious, Tang Miao understood that this woman was afraid he had gotten involved with the Black Vatican, right?

Although he knew Tang Yue was worried about him, the dangers of the Black Vatican, not to mention Tang Zhong had grumbled about it at least ten times, he himself had read novels!

"What are you thinking? The Black Totem Snake is with me all day, you can ask it if I've had contact with anyone else!"

The Black Totem Snake also seemed to know that Tang Yue was wrongly accusing its little boss.

"Hiss, hiss~" it explained for Tang Miao by flicking its tongue.

Tang Yue saw the Black Totem Snake explaining to her and also saw Tang Miao's displeased expression at not being trusted. After letting out a sigh of relief, she extended her hand, wrapped it around Tang Miao's arm, and swayed slightly, saying coyly, "I was just afraid you were young and naive, I didn't not trust you."

And wouldn't you know, Tang Miao, who had been quite annoyed, instantly felt all his displeasure vanish upon feeling that soft touch... "Can't you try a different approach? You always do the same thing."

Tang Yue blinked her charming eyes and smiled, "The method doesn't matter as long as it works, right?"

Knowing Tang Miao's temper, she knew his anger flared up quickly and subsided just as fast when it came to her. However, her baseless suspicion was indeed a bit excessive, so Tang Yue explained again, "I was just worried you might be deceived by the Black Vatican, that's why I was so nervous. I didn't not trust you."

Tang Miao waved his hand and then said, "Your husband isn't stupid, how could I be fooled by those shady things?"

At Tang Miao's self-proclamation, Tang Yue loosened her hand, took a step back, and lightly spat, "What husband, shameless…"

The softness left~ the subtle fragrance faded, and Tang Miao said discontentedly, "Hey, hey, hey! You've been promising to marry me for more than just a day or two!"

Tang Yue gave Tang Miao a charming and coquettish eye-roll, then lightly "pah-ed," saying, "Then you also said you'd let me live carefree like a princess. How come now you seem more like a prince?"

Tang Miao licked his lips, then said, "That was before, from now on, big brother will protect you. How about we go get our marriage certificate first?"

Tang Yue's cheeks flushed. She spat a fragrant breath at Tang Miao, then lifted her head and walked ahead with a touch of arrogance, not bothering to respond to Tang Miao at all.

Getting a marriage certificate at this time?

What would people think of her then!

You have to know, Tang Miao was only sixteen years old now!

Looking at her swaying, soft backside, Tang Miao muttered to himself, "I wonder when I'll be able to hit a home run!" He then scurried to catch up.

However, after a few steps, Tang Yue suddenly stopped. At this moment, Tang Miao seemed not to have noticed, bumping straight into her, while also reaching out to embrace her to prevent her from falling...
