The biting cold winds howled across Dragonspine.
Moonlight spilled over the snow, casting an ethereal white glow.
In the distance, a hemispherical barrier of light enveloped the ground like an overturned bowl.
From the outside looking in, it was a blank expanse of white, obscuring all views and silencing any sounds from within.
Clack, clack, clack~~~
Inside Eula's tent.
Her high heels clicked lightly against the ground.
The gracefully dancing Eula was utterly flustered.
She could only keep her long boots and cape on—this grudge, the Wavebreaker Knight would remember it well.
Of course, there was something even more exasperating for the Wavebreaker Knight.
Su Xuan had told Eula that as long as she kept her eyes tightly shut, everything before her would cease to exist when she couldn't see it.
This ostrich-like suggestion made Eula so furious she wanted to pounce and bite him.
Yet, the Wavebreaker Knight lived up to her reputation as a paragon of strength and elegance.
Even with her eyes closed, unable to see her surroundings, Eula relied on her mastery of the Ritual Dance, flowing like water and clouds as she danced gracefully before Su Xuan.
Not even the pronounced jiggle from her lack of binding could disrupt her enchanting poise.
Unfortunately, when the dance reached the third act's Flickering Blaze—a deep ninety-degree bend—Eula froze abruptly.
She could recall every step of the Ritual Dance and the exact shifts in posture they caused.
Unless she had miscounted, after those previous spins, there was no one in front of her right now.
Su Xuan was precisely behind her.
The thought of her current position made Eula's entire body heat up.
She snapped her eyes open and looked ahead, just as she suspected—nothing there.
"Eh!?" Eula yelped in fright, her body stiffening rigidly in place.
"Why'd you stop?" Su Xuan's teasing laughter came from behind. "You were dancing so well—why's your body suddenly frozen?"
Seeing no response from Eula, Su Xuan continued nonchalantly, "That said..."
"Whether it's A Ying, Lisa, or Little Jean, you all share the exact same... attributes."
"Like this snowy mountain, or that desert."
Eula's body trembled at his words, her back to him.
Su Xuan couldn't help but chuckle. "Say whatever you want, like 'I'll remember this grudge' or whatever."
"No worries—you can tell me however you like from now on."
Normally, Eula would plant her hands on her hips, chin raised: Hmph! This grudge, I will remember.
But right now, her heart was pounding so hard from embarrassment it felt like it would leap from her throat.
No mood for banter with Su Xuan.
Plus, the innocent Wavebreaker Knight had no clue what he meant by "snowy mountain" or "desert."
Why drag Dragonspine and the Sumeru Desert into this?
Was he about to bring up the Firmament Nail next?
"Sigh." Su Xuan let out a breath and quietly stepped behind Eula. "There's a first time for everything."
"After this, you'll get way more used to it."
The beautiful knight rolled her eyes inwardly at his words.
This guy was talking big while standing there—it's not like he was the one dancing.
Eula grumbled to herself.
Suddenly, she sensed a strange energy pulsing from Su Xuan's fingertips.
The next instant, Eula's pupils contracted sharply as silver light bathed the ground.
"Urgh..." Eula arched her body as if struck by some immense force, her strength draining away in a heartbeat.
Su Xuan slowly released his grip on her arms.
At that moment, the Wavebreaker Knight collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut, her legs buckling as she knelt to the ground.
Her entire body pitched forward.
What just happened!?
The beautiful knight was dumbfounded.
Had Su Xuan snuck an attack on her while she wasn't paying attention?
Eula tried lifting her arms from the floor, but they failed several times from sheer weakness.
Her limp arms couldn't support her, and her numb legs wouldn't let her stand.
Su Xuan watched as Eula wriggled slightly and feigned puzzlement. "As expected of the Wavebreaker Knight."
"Even powerless all over, you're still trying to escape with your head and body squirming like that?"
Eula: "?"
Truth be told, the elegant Wavebreaker Knight's mind was blank right now.
Su Xuan's Telekinesis Barrier was right outside the tent—where could she even run?
She just wanted to test if she could regain mobility; she had no idea why her body had suddenly gone limp.
Thankfully, the condition didn't last long.
Eula flexed her arm again and felt a bit of strength return. Just as she tried to push herself up...
She never expected Su Someone to launch another sneak attack at this critical moment.
Eula: "Mmph!"
