Eve swallowed her current mouthful and looked directly at Damian, her chin lifting defiantly despite the nerves making her hands shake slightly.
"I mean exactly what I just said," she stated clearly. "I will be sleeping in Silas's room for the time being. At least I can stay with one of my mates who won't punish me because I decided to feed."
"Eve....." Damon started, but she cut him off with a sharp gesture.
"No, Damon." Her voice was firm now, gaining strength as her anger built. She turned her full attention to Damian. "Who told me never to hide my hunger? Who told me to always take what I want.....anytime, anywhere....as long as I need it? Who punished me when I didn't do that?"
