!!!!!!!!
Viewers from other worlds stared in confusion—what was Uruk?
Where was it? They'd never heard of it.
Some histories spoke of Uruk, but most people paid no attention.
So the name drew blank stares, then puzzled attempts to place it.
Only the people of the Type-Moon/Fate World reacted with shock.
Type-Moon/Fate World.
"Uruk?! That's the golden king's hometown!" Tohsaka Rin exclaimed, recalling Gilgamesh's true name.
The legendary king of heroes—two-thirds god, one-third man.
And the fifth king of Uruk.
So when she saw the title, Tohsaka Rin wore a puzzled look. Could the star this time really be that golden flash?
But hadn't he already appeared once before?
Why bother showing up a second time???
"That Gilgamesh?" Emiya Shirou echoed, his face equally odd after hearing Tohsaka Rin's remark.
He'd just finished watching NO.8, the one where Emiya Shirou lopped off Gilgamesh's elbow.
So he knew exactly which Gilgamesh she meant.
"Ha! Naturally, it is I, the king."
At that moment Gilgamesh materialized atop a nearby lamppost, glancing down at Shirou and Rin with obvious delight. "Presumably it recounts the many events that transpired while I governed Uruk."
"It seems the video editor is aware of my glorious past."
The pair jumped; why had this guy shown up again?!
Emiya Shirou stepped directly in front of Tohsaka Rin, eyeing Gilgamesh with open vigilance.
Barely ten minutes earlier the man had suddenly appeared and hurled a Noble Phantasm at the two of them.
Coupled with the mercurial temperament the videos revealed, Shirou had no desire to deal with someone like him.
"What do you want?" Tohsaka Rin wasn't the least bit afraid; even if he was powerful, as head of the Tohsaka family she would never cower before what amounted to a familiar.
"Hmph. A king may survey his own dominion. I merely happened to pass by; don't flatter yourself, mongrel," Gilgamesh replied in an utterly calm tone.
"Huh? Your Uruk perished ages ago—what dominion?" She gave a scornful sneer.
"Hah." Gilgamesh offered no retort, only a faint smile.
Arms folded, his golden armor gone, replaced by a black suit, he regarded them. "Did you see the title? By choosing it, that mysterious editor has let Uruk live on in another form."
"Tch." Tohsaka Rin offered nothing more.
In truth Gilgamesh had no special reason for coming.
He simply hadn't found a way to cross worlds and deal with Muzan, so he dropped by to observe Rin and Shirou.
Gilgamesh found Shirou's existence intriguing and wished to study him up close.
He'd meant to stay hidden, but the moment the video's title appeared he revealed himself without hesitation.
He wanted to see what expressions the pair would wear while watching 'his' Uruk under his rule.
Kirei had grown dull, spending his days devouring that crimson mapo tofu; the thought left Gilgamesh speechless.
He would never touch that stuff!
Type-Moon/Fate World — Chaldea.
"Wha—?! W-W-What?!!"
Doctor Roman's eyes bulged. Uruk?! That was Gilgamesh's kingdom!
After a private chat he had just contacted Gilgamesh (Wise King) and Merlin; he knew they were fighting Demonic Beasts and had summoned Servants for help.
In other words, they were definitely at Seventh Singularity.
But what were the odds?!
First a tip suggesting Sixth Singularity, and now another pointing to Seventh Singularity.
"Oh my." Da Vinci pressed slender fingers to her lips, equally startled.
While they gaped, the subtitles faded and the video began.
The first scene showed all manner of Demonic Beasts racing in one direction, radiating savagery.
They would attack any human on sight; blood stained the earth—both beast and human.
The picture shifted: human soldiers drilling, shouting as they swung their weapons.
On the walls, sentinels stood bright-eyed, flanked by what looked like turrets.
In mere moments it was clear this was a war-city, and the enemy were those very Beasts.
The camera rose, revealing a metropolis housing who-knew-how-many thousands.
Type-Moon/Fate World.
"No way! An ancient city this big?!" Tohsaka Rin was floored; she'd never imagined an ancient metropolis could sprawl so vast.
Surely Uruk should be no larger than a village?
"…" Emiya Shirou kept silent, equally stunned.
As a modern person he knew ancient 'cities' were little more than hamlets by today's standards.
Before Gilgamesh arrived Rin had mocked him: "King of Uruk? More like a village headman—stop posturing!"
"Hmm?"
Gilgamesh frowned; this didn't match what he remembered.
Where had all these Beasts come from? His own Uruk had plenty, but never in such numbers.
Could it be…? Eyes narrowing, his expression turned serious.
The footage rolled on.
A sapphire sea stretched out, but as the view climbed a patch of black appeared.
The black water spread, and a hint of red surfaced.
Above the black-and-red sea hovered a woman: long blue hair, violet-red eyes, scarcely clothed, skin mostly bare.
Yet chains bound her limbs; she could not move of her own will.
As though sensing something, she lifted her head, violet eyes turning skyward, and spoke:
Aaaaa——!!!
