Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – NO.9, The Final Incursio

The first iconic scene had ended, leaving many viewers genuinely thrilled.

After all, watching this boy named Tanjiro fight to destroy his enemy—even at the cost of his own life—for the sake of his sister had set their hearts ablaze.

It wasn't just his willpower; the bond with his family had been the true key to Tanjiro's victory.

The woman who appeared at the end had to be Tanjiro's mother; why had she shown up in such an eerie way?

Viewers not from the Demon Slayer World assumed it was simply a mother, no matter how far away, sensing her child's peril and telling her daughter to help her brother.

Those who were part of the Demon Slayer World—especially the Demon Slayer Corps—were deeply shaken by the woman's appearance.

Everyone knew Tanjiro's entire family had been slaughtered by demons and that his sister had been turned into one.

If the woman in the video was Tanjiro's mother, then…! It meant souls continued to exist after death.

And the souls of family members stayed beside the living; just like in the video, the mother's voice had awakened Nezuko so she could help Tanjiro defeat the enemy.

The realization left many Demon Slayer Corps members dazed, glancing around as though they might catch sight of their own lost loved ones.

Night Raid Headquarters, Akame ga Kill World.

'So strong…' Tatsumi murmured in envy as he watched Tanjiro's final slash. 'That strength isn't about power—it's the power of bonds.'

'The ties between people make us stronger; the same is true for family.'

The man sporting the heart-shaped pompadour nodded in agreement, studying Tanjiro's face. 'Tatsumi, you can become someone like him.'

'Yes, Big Brother!' Tatsumi answered earnestly; after joining Night Raid, everyone had looked after him.

The one who took the greatest care of him was the man beside him—Big Brother Brand.

Brand had been training him relentlessly, making him stronger every single day, and Tatsumi respected him deeply for it.

'Family…'

Akame whispered the word, a flicker of nostalgia and sorrow crossing her eyes.

Leone patted Akame's shoulder, her own gaze complicated; both had sisters, yet Akame and her sister had ended up like this—what could anyone say?

The other Night Raid members glanced at Akame; they knew her story and, for a moment, no one found the right words.

'Hah…'

Najenda exhaled smoke, taking in everyone's expressions. As their boss, she had to break the awkward silence.

She looked back at the multiverse projection. 'Looks like NO.9 is coming up. Keep watching; we've got work tomorrow, so let's finish this video.'

'Yes, Boss!'

The Night Raid team answered in unison; even without the order, they would have kept their eyes on the screen.

The video was simply that good—far better than anything they'd watched before.

As they focused, a line of text appeared on the screen.

NO.9 – The Final Incursio.

'!!!!!!'

'??????'

'Impossible!!'

'Incursio?!'

Night Raid erupted; every head swiveled toward Brand. What was going on?!

If the title had been merely Incursio, the reaction wouldn't have been this intense.

But the final Incursio? That sounded downright ominous!!

Najenda sensed something off and turned to Brand. 'More importantly, were you ever filmed during a fight?'

'No, impossible. If someone used an multiverse projection on me, I'd notice right away.'

Brand shook his head; being secretly recorded was highly unlikely.

The rest of Night Raid nodded in agreement; Brand was an exceptionally powerful Teigu User.

Had he not joined the rebellion and stayed with the Empire, he would have risen to at least a vice-commander position.

No one could sneak footage of a warrior that strong.

Even in daily life Brand remained on high alert.

After all, he was an Empire-wanted fugitive; letting his guard down could endanger his comrades.

'Then what's going on?'

A petite girl in a pink dress and twin-tails frowned. 'Could it be the previous wielder of Incursio?'

'Possible.' Akame gave a small nod. 'Incursio is a Teigu passed down intact, after all.'

'That's what I think.'

Lubbock laced his hands behind his head, confident. 'No one could secretly film Brand—not even the terrifying Esdeath.'

Just as Lubbock spoke, the video began to play.

Viewers from other worlds returned their attention to the screen, eager to see what new iconic scene would shake them next.

Though the creator claimed the rankings were unordered, how could a highlight reel not feel like it had a climax?

After a brief blackout, the picture finally appeared.

The first character to appear was a girl with glasses, holding scissors and showing a smile.

Beings from other worlds had no idea who she was, but in the Akame ga Kill World, the Night Raid squad recognized her immediately.

"Sheele?!" Mine was shocked.

"Eh? Why am I in the video?" Sheele didn't react for a moment, tilting her head in confusion.

Bang—!!

A gunshot suddenly rang out. The bespectacled girl named Sheele fell forward, her pupils trembling as a terrifying, abyssal giant mouth appeared behind her.

'I can't move.'

Sheele's inner thoughts were transmitted.

In the next moment, her body was bitten by the abyssal giant mouth.

Directly in front of her, a pink-haired girl holding a firearm lay on the ground. Watching this scene, she screamed in despair: "Sheele!!!"

!!!!!!!!!

People from other worlds didn't feel much about this scene, but the pupils of every member of the Night Raid squad shrank.

What is this?! The future?! A scene of Sheele's death in the future?!

Najenda, holding a cigarette in one hand, looked completely shocked. She stared fixedly at the screen; clearly, this scene had rendered her unable to think.

Akame stared at the screen even more intensely. The meat in her hand fell heavily to the ground, yet she didn't feel a thing.

Tatsumi was the same, his body trembling, clearly unwilling to accept any of this.
