[Continuing the Ceremony]
Prapai wiped his tears, his voice thick with emotion. "Rain, the first time I saw you, I saw someone struggling under an unbearable weight. But I also saw strength, kindness, and brilliance that couldn't be dimmed."
Prapai took a shaky breath. "You taught me that love is about freedom, not possession. That patience is an act of love. That supporting someone's healing is an honor, not a burden."
"I promise to spend my life respecting your boundaries. To communicate openly and honestly. To celebrate your victories and support you through setbacks. To never make you feel trapped or controlled."
Prapai's voice dropped to a whisper. "You survived hell and came out more compassionate, not more bitter. You're the strongest person I know. And I'm honored—so honored—that you chose me. I love you, Rain.."
Rain was crying now too, happiness overwhelming him.
"The rings," the officiant prompted.
Sky and Pete stepped forward with the rings—simple bands engraved with their wedding date.
Prapai slid the ring onto Rain's finger. "With this ring, I marry you."
Rain did the same, his hand steady. "With this ring, I marry you."
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you married. You may kiss."
Prapai cupped Rain's face gently, giving him a moment to consent.
Rain smiled and closed the distance.
Their kiss was soft, sweet, and full of promise.
The guests erupted in applause.
When they pulled apart, Rain whispered, "We did it. We're married."
"We are," Prapai breathed. "Mr. and Mr. Theerapanyakul."
They walked back down the aisle hand in hand.
[Reception]
The reception was intimate—good food, heartfelt toasts, dancing under string lights.
Pete gave the first toast. "To Rain and Prapai. Your love story is a testament to survival, healing, and the power of real, respectful love. May your marriage be everything you both deserve."
Sky went next. "Rain, watching you heal and find happiness has been the greatest privilege of my life. Prapai, thank you for loving my best friend the way he deserves. Take care of him, or answer to me."
Everyone laughed.
When it was time for the first dance, Rain felt a moment of nervousness—all eyes on them.
Prapai sensed it immediately. "Just us," he whispered. "Ignore everyone else."
They swayed together, Rain's head on Prapai's shoulder.
"I'm so happy," Rain murmured.
"Me too.."
Later, Rain pulled Prapai aside. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"For being patient. For showing me love doesn't have to hurt. For giving me this perfect day."
"Rain, you gave me this day too. Thank you for choosing me. For trusting me with your heart."
They kissed again...
