Chapter 3 - Chapter 4; The Truth

During one of their fiercest battles, an evil man laughed as he lay dying

and said to Zambia, "You should never trust those around you."

Zambia frowned. "What do you mean by that?" he demanded.

With his final breath, the man whispered a single name.

"Zeus."

The word echoed in Zambia's mind long after the battle ended. Questions

tormented him, and before doubt could poison his heart any further, he decided

to seek the truth himself. Zambia traveled straight to Zeus's palace.

As he entered the grand halls, Zambia froze. From behind a marble wall, he

overheard a servant whisper nervously,

"What if they find out it was you who ordered Zenab to attack Mohab?"

Zambia's heart pounded.

Zeus replied coldly, "That is why they must never find out."

Unable to contain his rage, Zambia burst into the room.

"What did you just say?!" he shouted, his voice shaking the palace.

Zeus turned, stunned. "Zambia… I can explain."

"I've heard enough," Zambia said.

A violent battle erupted. Zambia fought with a power unlike anything the

gods had ever witnessed. The palace trembled under his fury, forcing Zeus to

flee. He escaped to a distant planet where Zumba was staying.

When Zeus found Zumba, he confessed everything.

"I ordered Zenab to attack Mohab because I believed your race was strong

enough to fight back," Zeus said, his voice heavy with regret. "I never

imagined it would be so brutal. Many gods feared your race—and Zenab. So we

planned to eliminate both threats."

Zeus bowed his head.

"We were wrong. Countless souls died because of us. We accept whatever

punishment awaits. We no longer deserve to be called gods of the galaxy."

Zumba's hands trembled as rage filled his heart. He drew his sword, ready to

strike Zeus down. But then he remembered his mother's words:

What has happened has happened. What is destined to happen will happen. Do

not waste your life on what you cannot change.

With tears in his eyes, Zumba lowered his weapon and left the planet to tell

his friends the truth—and to comfort his brother.

Meanwhile, Zambia had formed his own plan. An ambush was set, and Zeus was

captured. But before Zambia could deliver the final blow, Zumba appeared and

freed Zeus.

Zambia stared at his brother in disbelief.

"You would save the one who killed our parents?"

Zumba replied softly, "That is what Mother would want."

Zambia shook his head. "I'm sorry, Zumba. A life for a life. He has to go."

A great battle broke out between the brothers, shaking the planet beneath

their feet.

Zumba moved first—not with rage, but with purpose. He blocked Zambia's

strike and countered with a surge of energy meant to disarm, not destroy.

"Brother, stop!" he pleaded. "This path will only leave you emptier than

before."

Zambia answered with fury. As their powers clashed, his mind betrayed him.

For a heartbeat, the battlefield vanished.

He saw their mother smiling, her hand resting on his shoulder. He heard his

father's voice telling them to protect each other—always. The memory shattered

as flames replaced warmth, screams replacing laughter. Zambia roared, the pain

ripping control from his grasp.

A violent wave of energy burst from him, uncontrolled and wild. The ground

split. The sky darkened. Even Zambia seemed surprised by the force he

unleashed.

"Zambia!" Zumba shouted, barely holding his ground. "You're losing

yourself!"

But Zambia could no longer hear clearly. Another flash seized him—his

parents falling, his hands reaching, arriving too late. Rage consumed him,

blinding and absolute. He attacked relentlessly, each strike heavier than the

last.

Zumba was driven back, thrown hard against the shattered earth. Still, he

rose, pain etched across his face. "I lost them too," he said, his voice

breaking. "But if we become what we hate, then they truly died for nothing."

For a moment, Zambia hesitated. His power flickered, unstable. The storm

within him raged, threatening to tear him apart. Then the anger surged again,

and he struck once more.

The final clash drained the last of Zumba's strength. He fell to one knee,

defeated.

Breathing heavily, Zambia turned toward Zeus. His hands shook as he raised

his weapon, power crackling out of control—ready to end it all and balance the

scales of his heart.

Then he heard it.

His mother's voice—soft, steady, filled with love.

Remember who you are.

The storm inside him stilled. The memories shifted—this time to peace, to

laughter, to home.

Slowly, Zambia lowered his weapon.

He turned away from Zeus, lifted his fallen brother into his arms, and left

the planet without another word.

"Thank you for understanding, brother," Zumba said weakly.

·

Zambia nodded. "I did what Mom and Dad would

have wanted—to live in peace with everyone. Let's go home, brother."
