Chapter 22 - The Weight of Iron and the Shadow’s Strike

Chapter 21: The Weight of Iron and the Shadow's Strike 🌑🏋️‍♂️

STORM EDGE had secured its third member, but Park Do-Gyu's arrival brought more than just muscle—it brought new, grueling challenges.

1. The Art of Defense: A Lesson in "Weight" 🛡️💥

The next morning, inside the derelict gym, Do-Gyu and Jisong stood face-to-face. Jisong was launching a barrage of strikes using his blue Aura, but Do-Gyu didn't budge an inch. He took every hit like he was made of mountain stone.

Do-Gyu: "Jisong, your Aura is fast, but it lacks 'weight.' You're striking like the wind—not like a boulder."

Jisong: "What does that even mean?"

Do-Gyu: "True power isn't just in the hit; it's in the anchor. Instead of trapping your Aura in your fist, channel it through your legs into the earth. As long as you are one with the ground, you are unshakeable."

Jisong closed his eyes and pushed his energy downward. He began to visualize the physics of his own body: W = mg (Weight = Mass × Gravity). He started to feel his Aura not as a flickering flame, but as a solid, stabilizing shell around his entire frame.

2. The Council Meeting: The Four Great Crews 🍷📉

In a high-security, underground bunker beneath Seoul, four individuals sat around a circular table. These were the true masters of the city's underbelly:

Han-Bin (Iron Fist): Rules through raw violence and fear.

Shin-Hwa (Crimson Lotus): The Queen of secrets, politics, and manipulation.

Master Baek (White Tiger): A symbol of traditional martial arts and strict discipline.

Zero (Shadow Syndicate): A ghost present only as a silhouette on a screen; no one knows their true face.

Han-Bin: "Chairman Kang's brat and that 'Ghost' boy are becoming a threat to business. They've even recruited 'The Wall' (Do-Gyu)."

Shin-Hwa (Smirking): "Storm Edge... they think they're heroes. Instead of crushing them, why don't we turn them against each other?"

3. Attack from the Dark: The Sniper's Mark 🔫🏙️

Back at the gym, Yeonjun was scanning a map for potential new recruits. Suddenly, the silence was shattered as a window pane disintegrated with a dull thud.

Jisong: "Get down!"

A sniper's bullet grazed Jisong's ear, embedding itself deep into the back wall. The attacker wasn't outside the gym—they were positioned on a high-rise building 500 meters away.

Yeonjun: "This isn't the Iron Fist's style. They don't hide; they swarm."

Jisong: "This is the Shadow Syndicate. We've been marked."

4. The Counter-Strike 🏃‍♂️💨

Jisong concentrated his blue Aura into his legs. With a sudden burst of explosive power, he leaped from the gym's rooftop toward the neighboring buildings. While in mid-air, his Aura acted as a protective shroud, helping him deflect the sniper's follow-up shots.

When he reached the rooftop of the target building, the sniper was gone. Only a black envelope remained, stamped with the Storm Edge logo and marked with a blood-red X.

Jisong (Into his radio): "Yeonjun, Do-Gyu... the game just got deadlier. They're picking us off one by one. No more hiding. It's time we take the fight to them."
