Chapter 21 - Chapter 20 : Entry The Sea God Pavilion.

Something felt wrong.

Su Wen subconsciously reached up and touched his head.

His hair was noticeably longer than before he lost consciousness.

This wasn't a matter of days.

At least… a month?

"Chirp—chirp!"

A nimble white baboon suddenly leapt in through the wooden window.

When it saw Su Wen awake, its eyes lit up with joy as it excitedly bounced around.

"Shh…"

Su Wen quickly gestured for it to quiet down.

From the look of things, Ma Xiaotao probably hadn't slept properly in a long time.

She must have been keeping vigil at his bedside throughout his coma. He didn't want to wake her so abruptly.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

Ma Xiaotao stirred, her hazy eyes opening as her fiery red hair spilled messily over her shoulders.

When she saw Su Wen sitting up, she froze for a moment—then rubbed her eyes hard.

"Xiao Wen… you're awake?!"

Before he could respond, she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

"Ugh—!"

Su Wen nearly suffocated as two not-so-small "headlights" pressed into him, swaying dangerously. He struggled slightly, face turning red.

"I—I need to go tell Elder Mu!"

Ma Xiaotao released him just as quickly, then rushed out in a flurry.

"…I didn't even get to ask how long I've been asleep," Su Wen muttered helplessly.

"Chirp!"

Gale excitedly gestured and chattered, clearly eager to share something.

"You're saying the environment outside is amazing?" Su Wen translated thoughtfully.

"Ancient trees everywhere, rare herbs and plants… and this place feels especially comfortable for you?"

He paused, then walked toward the window.

Moist air rushed in, accompanied by a breathtaking view.

From this height, he could overlook an entire massive academy. The position alone spoke volumes—high, central, and absolutely core.

"This place can't be…"

Su Wen's eyes widened.

The Sea God Pavilion?!

"That's right."

A gentle voice sounded from behind him.

"This is the heart of Shrek Academy—the Sea God Pavilion. From now on, this will also be your home."

Su Wen turned around.

Ma Xiaotao was pushing a wheelchair forward, winking playfully at him.

Sitting in the wheelchair was an elderly man with a thin, slightly hunched frame.

His body looked frail—but his eyes were deep, warm, and unfathomably profound.

"Elder Mu."

Su Wen inclined his head calmly.

He knew exactly where he was.

The Sea God Pavilion.....

even Huo Yuhao had only been allowed here once early on, before the Continental Tournament.

The Golden Tree itself was among Shrek's deepest secrets.

And now, he was living inside it.

No wonder his cultivation speed had skyrocketed.

The ambient spiritual energy here was absurdly dense. Even lying still felt like cultivation.

"Child," Mu En said gently, "since you've joined Shrek Academy, you should think of this place as your home.

This mission was a grave mistake, and the responsibility lies entirely with Xuan Zi.

I will punish him severely. I only hope… you won't be disappointed in the academy because of this."

His sincerity was unmistakable.

If his body allowed it, he might have even stood up and bowed.

Mu En had already investigated Su Wen. There was no background....no origin.....he was as if he had appeared out of thin air in the Star Dou Great Forest.

But that didn't matter.

As long as he wasn't from the Sun Moon Empire.....even if he were—Mu En was confident he could make Su Wen truly belong to Shrek.

What mattered most now was preventing this child's heart from growing cold.

Someone who would risk the shattering of his own martial soul to buy a single minute for his comrades…

Such kindness, talent, diligence, and resolve

He was practically a gift from the heavens to the Sea God Pavilion.

"Xiaotao," Mu En said gravely, "go inform Shaozhe. Convene a Sea God Pavilion meeting."

"Yes!"

Ma Xiaotao left at once.

"Is your martial soul alright?" Mu En asked softly.

The wheelchair moved forward on its own as he examined Su Wen closely.

His aged hand gently grasped Su Wen's arm, sensing the smooth flow of meridians and orderly soul power.

The more he examined, the more relaxed his expression became.

"It's fine now, Elder Mu," Su Wen replied.

He opened his palm.

A white Poké Ball emerged from his sea of consciousness and rested quietly in his hand.

"Good. Very good."

Mu En smiled warmly, wrapping his withered hand around Su Wen's, briefly enclosing the white ball before patting his shoulder.

"Good child. Push me to the meeting hall. I'll guide you."

"…Alright."
