Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: The Thief Karl, The Ruffian Hulk

Below the cliff was a turbulent, ceaselessly flowing river.

As he fell from the cliff, the massive Hulk, in his descent, fixed his angry gaze on Karl, who stood at the edge of the cliff.

Their eyes met.

Karl, his chest heaving as he rapidly recovered his strength, smiled and made a waving gesture to Hulk as he plunged down the cliff.

"Goodbye!"

"Hulk!!!"

"Boom!"

The enraged Hulk roared and plunged into the river, the surging current instantly engulfing him.

Karl felt the presence of Hulk being swept away by the river, and as he withdrew his gaze, he let out a sigh of relief.

Vibranium was important; it wouldn't be too late to find Hulk after obtaining the Vibranium and donning the saint cloth.

Karl thought to himself.

The next second.

He stood at the edge of the cliff, looking up, and the true Wakanda came into his full view.

Upon entering his sight!

Everywhere, a golden glow instantly met his eyes; this wasn't artificial light, but the soft, profound energy radiating from the natural Vibranium veins deeply embedded in the earth and exposed on the surface.

They were like the veins of the earth, winding through massive rock faces, deep canyons…

Mountains and rivers.

Lush green vegetation and undulating mountains.

And in the distance, the high-tech style urban architecture.

As well as…

High-tech fighter jets were rapidly taking off from a magnificent golden plaza within the city, approaching this direction.

Karl withdrew his gaze from the rapidly approaching fighter jets, quickly scanning his surroundings, then pinpointed the distant mountain that glowed with golden light.

With all five senses fully engaged, he saw the mine shaft in that mountain.

"Found it!"

"Boom!"

Karl's eyes lit up, and the moment the sonic boom exploded in place, Karl had already vanished from his original position.

"Holy sh*t."

"He disappeared."

A Wakandan soldier, piloting a fighter jet rapidly approaching, exclaimed in surprise at this sight.

The next second.

He saw a Shadow rapidly sweeping through the jungle below, heading urgently towards their Holy Mountain, which was the location of the Vibranium core mine, known as 'The Hill'.

"There!"

"Sh*t, he's going to the Hill."

"We can't let him pass."

"Open fire."

"Understood."

The Wakandan soldiers piloting the five Vibranium fighter jets responded, then maneuvered their jets, rolling and lowering their altitude to pursue Karl, while simultaneously releasing several air-to-ground missiles with a whoosh.

The missiles whistled, glowing golden, and rapidly approached Karl.

Karl, who was rapidly sweeping through the jungle below towards the location of the Hill, suddenly stopped. The moment his body halted, he turned and threw a punch behind him.

Boom, boom, boom, boom—

A sky full of fist shadows reappeared, directly destroying countless century-old trees while colliding with the diving ground-to-air missiles.

The missiles exploded on Impact.

Brilliant firelight erupted in the sky above the jungle.

Having done all this, Karl smiled, and once again sped towards the Hill where the Vibranium-rich mine was located.

"Holy sh*t."

"Chase him quickly."

"Understood!"

The pilot exclaimed in surprise once again at this sight, then reacted. Just as they were about to resume their pursuit, a fierce roar, as if from hell itself, made their minds tremble!

"Hulk!!!"

"Boom!"

The sky seemed to darken all at once.

The massive, mountain-like Hulk roared, crushing the small peak beneath his feet, then leaped up, and in the disbelieving eyes of the two pilots, with a crash, he directly crushed the planes they were piloting with his hands.

Although their planes were also made of Vibranium and were indestructible.

The glass, however, was not.

With a bang, accompanied by the shattering of glass, blood instantly spilled from the cockpit, and the signals of the two pilots went offline in an instant.

The next second.

Hulk flung the two Vibranium planes in his hands.

"Sh*t…"

"Get out of the way quickly."

The remaining three Vibranium fighter jets, seeing this, quickly maneuvered to avoid the jets that Hulk had thrown at them as weapons.

Hulk landed again, creating a deep crater, then once again burst out of the crater, continuing with a massive leap towards the city buildings below the mountain.

Hulk, returned from hell, had only one thought in his mind.

Destruction!

Annihilation!

Karl, who was rapidly speeding through the jungle towards the Hill, smiled slightly as he sensed Hulk's presence moving in the opposite direction from him.

That's right.

You go play by yourself for a while; it won't be too late for me to come play with you after I've retrieved the Vibranium and put on the saint cloth.

Karl thought to himself.

Wakanda, however, was in distress.

"Damn it."

"Father King, that one named Karl ran towards our Holy Mountain, and Hulk ran towards the River Tribe."

In the palace command center, Princess Suri looked at the projected screen, seeing Karl speeding towards the Hill on one side, and Hulk approaching their city and causing destruction on the other. She felt numb.

On one side was a powerful thief.

On the other was a ruffian, terrifying in both size and strength.

What to do!

"We cannot let Hulk approach our city."

King T'Chaka looked at the thief and the ruffian, moving in opposite directions on the projection, and said in a deep voice, "Immediately dispatch the War Tribe, initiate a Level One War State. We absolutely cannot let Hulk destroy our city."

As King T'Chaka spoke, he walked towards the fighter jet platform outside the command center: "I will personally go to the Holy Mountain."

Outside the fighter jet platform, a uniquely designed, heavily armed, stealth-capable royal fighter jet, also crafted from Vibranium, exited its stealth mode and entered its takeoff sequence.

After T'Chaka boarded the fighter jet, it took off vertically and rapidly swept towards the direction of their Holy Mountain, the Hill.

At the same time, all of Wakanda entered a Level One combat state.

The Dora Milaje, an all-female warrior guard responsible for protecting the palace, arrived from all directions, surrounding the command center so tightly that not even a drop of Water could pass.

General Okoye, wearing red armor inlaid with Vibranium and wielding a Vibranium spear, stood guard at the entrance of the command center with a solemn expression, like a statue.

The Royal Guard, responsible for defending the capital and maintaining national security, also came out in full force.

Royal battleships instantly ascended into the sky.

Vibranium tanks rolled out of the armory, their treads rumbling as they moved across the roads.

Vibranium planes soared into the sky, their wings cutting through the air with a whooshing sound.

That was the sound of missiles being launched.

Boom!

Air-to-ground missiles struck Hulk's skin directly and exploded on Impact.

Hulk instinctively swung his hand, swatting away one missile, then roared furiously at a Vibranium fighter jet that rapidly maneuvered to dodge.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

The Vibranium tanks that had arrived, their bodies vibrating, fired dozens of shells that slammed onto Hulk's body the moment their cannons recoiled and extended.

Hulk, who had just set one foot on the ground, staggered and fell backward, plunging with a splash back into the turbulent Water.

The next second.

The lingering memory of Karl drowning him alive in Calver Lake surged into his mind once again.

Upon encountering these memory fragments, Hulk became utterly enraged once more, leaping from the Water onto the bank, and his house-sized fist slammed directly down onto the Vibranium tank below.

Karl, who was already nearing the edge of the jungle, no longer hesitated. He took a deep breath, his body rising directly into the air, bare-chested, flying into mid-air. He then saw Hulk in the distance, already engaged in Fire with the Wakandan soldiers.

Karl merely glanced, then turned. The moment the sonic boom appeared, his right foot had already landed on the platform of the Holy Mountain.

Just as he was about to step forward and walk towards the mine shaft.

Karl abruptly turned, and as his right hand formed a fist, it seemed to rip through the air, letting out an explosive sound as he unleashed a punch.

King T'Chaka, who was in stealth mode and intended to ambush from behind, wearing the Black Panther suit, was sent flying by Karl's sudden punch, revealing his presence.

T'Chaka, now visible in his Black Panther suit, aimed his Vibranium spear at Karl and unleashed an energy Impact.

Karl's lips curved upwards, his body flickering in place, dodging the Impact, and reappearing before T'Chaka once again.

No words were exchanged; fists did the talking.

One punch.

"Boom!"

"Thud!"

Karl's punch, heavy and powerful, slammed onto T'Chaka's Vibranium spear, which he had raised in the nick of time. The immense Impact forced T'Chaka to his knees.

The next second.

Karl whipped out his right leg, and with a bang, a similarly powerful kick directly struck T'Chaka's body, instantly sending him flying off the platform.

Having done all this, Karl chose not to pursue.

Business first.

Vibranium first.

Karl then turned, and in the blink of an eye, entered the mine shaft.

Just like when he was in Quantico before.

After entering the mine shaft, Karl, to prevent anyone from disturbing him, turned and stood inside the shaft, his fists swinging like afterimages.

Accompanied by rumbling sounds, the entrance of the mine shaft began to shake and collapse, and in no time, the entire mine entrance was buried by huge rocks.

Karl then turned and quickly moved downwards along the mine shaft.

The further down he went, the more dazzling the golden light he perceived with all five senses engaged.

And when he reached the bottom of the mine shaft, what appeared before him was the so-called golden legend.

Vibranium ore!

Karl looked at the Vibranium ore embedded in the mountain before him, his heart involuntarily twitched, and then an expression of joy instantly appeared on his face.

Lightning!

Sonic Fist—

Rumble!

Karl, having snapped out of his joy, once again swung his arms in layers of afterimages, transforming into a mining worker on the spot.

In an instant.

Dust rose.

The mountain shook.

Karl was single-minded, with only one thing in his eyes.

Mining!

Forging the saint cloth!!
