My pupils dilated as I absorbed the sight of his destruction, feasting my hungry eyes on that slight, involuntary tremor racked across his stony jaw. Cold sweat formed like sticky pearls of moisture, coating his broad forehead and sliding down toward his temples. The look of abject fear and sheer panic that settled into Jake's blue eyes which had always overflowed with sickening arrogance injected a strange warmth into my veins at that exact moment.
It was a warm, venomous pleasure I never knew existed within my bowels before, as if a spotted viper had been sleeping safely in the deepest darkness of my soul, and only now, under the shadows of this defiled bed, found its way to crawl to the surface and spit its venom.
