April tried so hard to do a quick rethink. Perhaps, she had made a mistake and came around to the wrong corner. There was no way in the world Flynn would just walk out like that, right?
She retraced her steps, and returned to the same spot, but she was greeted by empty seats again. She restrained the urge to break down in tears as she glanced around the pub.
"Hey," a voice suddenly spoke up behind her. She turned around sharply. It was Flynn, with Willie standing by his side, wide awake.
"Oh, thank goodness. I got scared for a moment, wondering where you guys have gone." she stooped low to give Willie a hug.
"I'm sorry, we went to ease ourselves. Were you able to get anything?"
She shot him a feigned glare. "Really? Why did I think you must have been watching my back, seeing how I entered that Godforsaken place filled with animals."
