At the sight of the impending storm, Flynn sped up, weaving through the traffic, while April grew tense by the minute, as the city and office scapes gradually began to disappear, giving way to trees and forest. Were her thoughts finally coming true? Was he actually fake? Probably sent to finish them off or something.
"Where are we heading to?" she managed to ask, but could barely hear her voice because the wind swallowed it. She made another attempt, increasing the pitch of her voice till it almost cracked . "Where are we heading to, Flynn?!"
"To safety!" he yelled back. "There is an emergency alert! I guess you are not aware! There is going to be a horrible thunderstorm and hurricane, so we need to hurry! I am taking you to my family house! And we live in the countryside!"
Countryside? Won't it be dangerous and lonely? What if this was another ploy? Was she really supposed to trust him? Her mind was so messed up and troubled, that could barely think straight.
