Chapter 170 - The Wind Rises—Forward! Vanguard Unit!

Ice Style is a combination of water and wind nature chakra, capable of offense, defense, and trapping opponents.

Since many of his jutsu were already Water Style, combining them with Ice Style made his strength even greater.

In fact, just adding Ice Style boosted Yuki Seisui's power by at least twenty percent.

The key point was his innate dual-nature chakra—water and wind. Unlike the Mangekyo Sharingan's hidden tricks, his dual-nature chakra naturally fused into Ice Style without any discord.

Don't ask—it's just extraordinary talent.

Everyone saw him as gifted, and in this case, it was true.

Seisui's achievements were impressive.

Picking up a drink from the table beside his chair, he instinctively infused it with Ice Style chakra. The normally room-temperature drink instantly became chilled.

"Ah~ perfect~"

He took a sip and let out a long, satisfied exhale.

"In this weather, an ice-cold drink is just right!"

Leaning back in his chair, holding the chilled beverage, Seisui basked lazily in the sun.

At the same time, a glowing screen appeared before him, displaying all his templates and trial cards:

[Owned Templates: Uzumaki Naruto (Ninja Student), Moonlight Gale, Senju Tobirama (Wandering Samurai), Uchiha Itachi (Red Night Blade), Uchiha Obito (Sharingan), Uchiha Sasuke (Sharingan), Uzumaki Kushina (Young Girl), Uzumaki Naruto (Fourth Tail), Uchiha Itachi (Mangekyo Sharingan), White (Wandering Samurai)]

[Owned Trial Cards: Uchiha Sasuke (Eternal Mangekyo)]

[Prism Stones: 8]

He already had sixty fragments of Eternal Mangekyo Sasuke. Invincibility was just a step away.

Lost in thought, a familiar voice rang from outside.

"Seisui!"

"A mission!"

Seisui stood, walking to the balcony to look down at Minato, fully armored. He couldn't help but tease, "Minato, why is it always you telling me about missions when I'm the team leader?"

Minato froze, scratching his head. "Isn't that how it works?"

"The Hokage sends me through the toads every time, asking me to find you two," he explained.

"But I'm the team leader, Minato!" Seisui exclaimed.

Minato instinctively replied, "You'll regret saying that, Seisui."

Immediately, he realized how that sounded. Great… now I'm like Danzo!

Seisui just stared. Truly, that was Minato.

Sighing, Seisui said, "Wait a moment—I'll change clothes."

"Okay," Minato nodded.

As Seisui went inside, he muttered to himself, "Could Nawaki really be a harbinger of bad luck? Say I'll go on a mission tomorrow, and here we are…"

He vowed to give Nawaki a proper scolding later.

This mission wasn't just a casual greeting from Hiruzen; whenever war broke out, Seisui always went to the front line. This time would likely be no different.

Soon, Seisui emerged in a sleek black combat uniform.

"Minato, your taste hasn't changed at all," he remarked, looking at Minato's green tight suit. "Can't you wear something decent? How does Kushina put up with your terrible fashion sense?"

"Kushina likes what's inside me!" Minato blushed and protested. "You wouldn't understand this kind of feeling!"

"Hah," Seisui scoffed. He rummaged in Minato's ninja tool pouch and pulled out a triple-pronged kunai.

"Since it's a war mission, you probably won't be back soon. Say your goodbyes to Kushina. I'll go find Haru. At the Hokage's office, I'll inject chakra into your Flying Raijin Kunai to contact you. Just come over when the signal hits."

"Got it!" Minato nodded, moved by Seisui's thoughtfulness. Despite Seisui's teasing, pranks, and occasional show-offs, he was a good person at heart.

"Enough with the drama, people might think I beat you up," Seisui said, heading toward the Uchiha residence.

At the Uchiha household, he overheard the voices of Uchiha Setsuna and Uchiha Haru from inside. Normally, he wouldn't hear them—but after awakening the Sonic Insight, his senses had become supernaturally sharp.

"Haru, do you want to become clan head?" Setsuna asked.

"Why would I want that?" Haru sounded confused.

Setsuna coaxed, "As clan head, you'll control the Uchiha, leading them to prosperity."

Setsuna's focus was the honor of the Uchiha, but he had a hidden motive: if Haru became head, she couldn't marry out and would have to accept an arranged marriage. And Seisui—this lowly nobody—would never marry into their family, foiling Setsuna's plan.

Seisui saw through the scheme instantly. Truly evil from birth, old Uchiha Setsuna.

Muttering under his breath, Seisui knocked lightly on the door. A servant opened it.

"Tell Haru there's a mission," Seisui instructed.

The servant nodded respectfully, "Yes, Seisui-sama," then closed the door and delivered the message.

They didn't interfere with the known rivalry between Setsuna and Seisui; they knew Haru's will was absolute. Seisui might very well be the future son-in-law.

Soon, Haru opened the door, clad in a matching black combat suit. Behind her, Setsuna glared at Seisui.

Seisui met his gaze without flinching. Look all you want, old man.

Setsuna's anger flared. Seisui grinned brightly and said, "Good day, Grandfather."

Haru blushed at hearing him call her grandfather the same way. She sneaked a glance at Setsuna.

Setsuna forced a strained smile, gritting his teeth, "You're bold!"

"Thank you for the compliment, Grandfather!" Seisui ignored the underlying malice, took Haru's hand, and headed out.

Haru waved another hand to Setsuna, "Goodbye, Grandfather!"

Seisui echoed, "Goodbye, Grandfather."

As they walked away, Setsuna's expression darkened, tinged with grief.

"Damn this naturally evil brat! My Haru!"

"What mission is this?" Haru asked, curious.

"Looks like the war's started. We're heading to the battlefield," Seisui sighed. "The ninja world hasn't been peaceful lately."

"Battlefield?" Haru paused, then recalled recent Uchiha troop movements. Some were indeed preparing.

"Right," Seisui nodded, then turned to her. "Don't worry—I'll protect you."

Haru blushed and softly replied, "Okay."

At the Hokage building, Seisui pulled out a triple-pronged kunai, infused it with chakra, and after a moment, Minato appeared before them.

"Still so fast, Seisui," he remarked.

Minato was puzzled. He knew what Seisui meant by "fast" but didn't expect it to be this quick.

Seisui grinned, then conjured a "patting head" emoji before him. Minato instinctively wanted to return it, but Seisui clapped his hand, sending the emoji toward Minato's head.

It transformed into a real hand that gently patted Minato's spiky hair—a jutsu he had created, Ninpō: Head Pat Technique.

The technique had no offensive or defensive power; it was simple. After returning from the Land of Hot Water, Minato had given Seisui a scroll, and Seisui mastered it in a single day.

Feeling the cold touch on his head, Minato could only sigh in exasperation.
