"Give me the infinity stones, and you can leave here!"
Thanos said coldly, pointing his double-bladed sword at Jean.
Although the power emanating from Jean slightly startled him, he never believed he would fail, no matter who his enemy was.
"The Collector said that if the six infinity stones were combined, they would possess unimaginable power, and if the stones fell into your hands, they would bring disaster to the entire Universe."
Jean looked at Thanos, her gaze firm.
"You don't understand at all. This is the will of the entire Universe; it is anticipating what I will do. Only Death can bring life to the Universe."
"There are too many lives in the Universe. Only by wiping out half of all life can the entire Universe maintain maximum vitality."
When Thanos was still on Titan, he watched his fellow Titans endlessly exploit the resources of their entire planet, causing it to rapidly fall into decline.
From then on, Thanos began to hear a whisper in his ear.
"Life will only lead the entire Universe into irreversible demise; only Death can allow the Universe to continue indefinitely."
Thanos believed this was the Universe confiding in him, and he saw himself as the bearer of the Universe's destiny.
However, he had no idea that the owner of this voice was not the Universe as he thought, but Death, one of the five God of Creation.
Across the entire Multiverse, countless versions of Thanos exist, and without exception, all these Thanos are intricately linked to Death.
It seems Death has a special fondness for this deformed child of the Titan race.
Speaking of which, Thanos, a descendant of the Eternal with perfect genes, should not have undergone mutation. After all, this was a perfect creation of the Celestials; its entire gene chain could achieve perfect circulation, making mutation impossible.
Yet, fate is so coincidental that this deformed child with purple skin was born inexplicably among the perfect Eternal Titan.
In every Universe, from the moment Thanos was born, Death has been with him like a Shadow.
Because when Thanos was just born, both of his parents wanted to kill him, but Death's intervention allowed him to live.
Death then single-handedly nurtured and guided the growth of this deformed Titan, then subjected him to intense brainwashing, ultimately forcing him into Madness, making him cause slaughter across the Universe to please her.
This Universe was no exception; however, Death had never appeared before Thanos's eyes, only whispering and tempting him in his ear from time to time.
Although Thanos inevitably embarked on the old path of universal slaughter, this time he always believed that his actions were the destiny of the Universe.
"You are a Madman! For the entire Universe, the infinity stones remaining in my Master's hands are much safer than falling into yours."
Hearing Thanos's words, Jean felt a chill run down her spine.
Wiping out half of all life in the entire Universe—what a Mad and terrifying act.
"Selfish and foolish life!"
"Kill her!"
Thanos slowly lowered his head and then commanded the countless Black Order warriors behind him in a deep voice.
Immediately, an army like a black torrent, led by the Black Order, began a Death-defying, destructive charge.
Beams of energy were fired at Jean from the weapons they held in their hands.
Seeing this, Jean crossed her hands in front of her, then pulled them apart, and a huge golden magic shield appeared, blocking all attacks.
"Die for me!"
Black Dwarf leaped, his body soaring high, and his mechanical pickaxe, wielded with the immense force of splitting a mountain, crashed down towards Jean.
Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight gripped their weapons, ready at any moment to launch a fatal sneak attack on Jean.
The memory of being instantly killed still filled them with immense dread.
Facing a legion alone, Jean felt little fear.
At this moment, the energy wings behind Jean suddenly moved, and a terrifying destructive storm surged around her.
Black Dwarf's body, airborne, began to disintegrate.
Seeing this, Black Dwarf immediately reoriented his weapon. A long chain extended from the axe handle, and the axe blade deeply cut into a distant boulder, pulling his body away rapidly.
However, even though his reaction was swift, one-third of his body had already turned into nothingness, with no blood flowing out.
This did not save his life; his hand, gripping the axe handle, slowly loosened, and his remaining body crashed to the ground.
However, Black Dwarf's Death did not cause the slightest panic. These soldiers of the Black Order were biological weapons that feared no Death; they had no such emotion as fear and continued to charge at Jean one after another.
Facing the large group of biological weapons charging at her, Jean's eyes were filled with indifference, and golden patterns appeared on her face.
The energy field formed by the Phoenix Force caused all living beings that approached her to dissipate into atoms.
Thanos watched his subordinates rush forward like moths to a Fire, without a trace of emotion in his heart.
These mass-produced biological weapons were insignificant to him; he could create as many as he needed.
Instead, it was Jean's power that he had never seen before in all his conquests across the Universe.
At this moment, Supergiant, the Master of mental powers, found an opportunity and prepared to cast mental control on Jean.
However, she clearly underestimated her opponent.
Jean herself was an old hand at mental power, not to mention having the Phoenix Force, the embodiment of life and psychic power, within her—the Creator God of all living mental power.
Even if it wasn't the complete Phoenix Force, daring to use mental power in front of Jean was like showing off one's meager skill before an expert.
As soon as Supergiant's mental power was released, before it even got close to Jean, it was swallowed whole by a golden Phoenix.
Instantly, Supergiant collapsed, becoming a soulless automaton.
In the blink of an eye, the Black Order was left with only Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, who were observing.
Corvus Glaive no longer dared to rush forward rashly; he merely hid behind the army, watching the soldiers dissipate into nothingness.
As Thanos's most loyal subordinate, Proxima Midnight's everything was Thanos's command.
In the comics, after Thanos was defeated by his son, everyone betrayed Thanos, even her husband Corvus Glaive, but only she remained loyal to Thanos.
At this moment, she said to her husband beside her:
"Corvus, the time has come for us to be loyal to My Lord Thanos!"
"Proxima, we are no match for that woman. Only My Lord Thanos can rival her power."
Corvus Glaive knew very well that he and his wife had no hope of defeating Jean and did not want to go to their Deaths like this.
"Corvus, do you want to be a coward?"
Proxima Midnight looked indifferently at her husband, then gripped the spear in her hand, slowly moving to find a blind spot in Jean's vision, and then threw it fiercely towards Jean.
Three black rays filled with the aura of Death emanated from the spear, ignoring Jean's energy field and heading straight for her body.
