"But other than feeling like someone's in my home, I haven't felt anything trying to hurt me. Master, is there really a ghost?"
Lin Yaya looked terrified, overcome with a deep sense of unease.
So much had happened over the past few months.
If she hadn't been consumed by anxiety every day, and if a colleague hadn't prompted her, she never would have come here.
Now, after what Su Nian had said, she was a nervous wreck.
"Are you really sure there's a ghost with me? I don't know, it just seems so far-fetched."
She was trying to deny it to soothe her fear, but Su Nian just gave her a calm look.
"Have you noticed anything strange about your shoes lately?"
Su Nian's gaze dropped, and Lin Yaya instinctively glanced down at her own feet.
"I haven't felt anything strange. I just figured I bought my shoes a size too big recently. They always feel loose and roomy."
Lin Yaya was confused. They had just been talking about the ghost.
