'I have a press pass!'
Claire Sinclair pulled the press pass she had just received today from her bag and turned back to the manor's gate.
"Hello, I'm Claire Sinclair, a reporter from the Astoria Daily. I'd like to request an interview with Mr. Quincy."
The guard frowned, took the press pass from her hand to look it over, then stepped down from the platform. "Wait here. I'll go report this."
The guard jogged into the guardhouse with her press pass and quickly ran back out. He handed the pass back with both hands. "Miss Sinclair, please come in!"
Although his tone was still gruff, his attitude now held a hint of respect.
Claire Sinclair let out a soft sigh of relief. She had never imagined that she could walk into Quincy Manor openly and on her own merit.
'Heh... It feels pretty good to be respected like this.'
