Claire Sinclair was taken aback. She turned to look at the group of girls, who were about her age. From what they were saying, they must have been female soldiers who had served alongside her sister.
When they saw her looking, none of the female soldiers spoke. They just gazed at her with sorrowful eyes.
An unsettling feeling washed over Claire Sinclair. She silently picked up the uniform and went into the bathroom to change.
When she came out, the female soldiers were still there.
The moment she appeared in the training uniform, one of the female soldiers suddenly broke down, squatting on the floor and burying her head in her hands as she sobbed.
"How can Quinn be gone? How can she just be gone… SOB… SOB… SOB…"
"Hey, Kerr, don't cry. People are watching."
"I can't help it! Before Quinn left, she promised she'd spar with me, but she never came back…"
"You're going to make me cry too. Quinn was so kind… SOB… SOB…"
