"This thirteen-spice crayfish is pretty good. It would be even better with some chili."
"I can't really handle spicy food."
"Me neither."
"Then let's not add any. I think it's best this way."
"Yeah, no chili. We'll eat it just like this..."
The two ate with great relish. Before they knew it, it was past eleven o'clock. Claire Sinclair let out a satisfied burp. 'I haven't been this full in ages. This is bliss.'
Henry Hartwell wiped his mouth with a napkin and asked her, "Are you going back to the hospital now?"
"Why would I go back to the hospital?"
"If not the hospital, where will you go?"
Claire Sinclair thought for a moment. 'I can't go back to Quincy Manor, and Evergreen Garden is even more out of the question. As for my own home, Melanie Sinclair and her son are living there, and I definitely don't want to go back to that.'
