"We... did everything we could... I'm afraid Adam Sinclair only has a day or two left. You should begin making the final arrangements. He's awake now, but he's extremely weak."
The news struck her like a bolt of lightning.
All strength left Ashley Bowen's body, and she collapsed backward. Fortunately, Yuri Sinclair caught her, saving her from the fall.
But she wasn't grateful. Instead, she struggled out of his arms, coldly shoving him away. "I don't need your help!"
With that, she pushed past him and waited for the nurses to wheel the hospital bed out, following closely behind it as they left.
