Joan Shaw didn't know what was wrong with her, only that her whole body ached.
Then she saw Finn Norris's reaction to the medicine box—his eyes went wide, and he finally lowered his head. "Excuse me, President Xavier. The medicine has been delivered, so I'll be going now!"
With that said, he turned to leave immediately, ready to bolt as if his feet were on fire.
"Aren't you worried about her condition? Why don't you wait until I'm done applying her medicine before you go?" Miles Xavier said with a cruel smile.
Finn Norris felt as if a knife was digging into his heart, again and again.
"No need!" 'I have to get out of here, fast. Otherwise, I might lose control and actually kill Miles Xavier!'
"Caleb Adler, close the door. Baby, I'm going to put on your medicine now." Miles Xavier deliberately said this for the hastily retreating Finn Norris to hear.
