The gun pressed against the small of her back was cold, but she knew that pulling the trigger would unleash a burst of scorching heat from the muzzle. She'd much rather endure the cold.
The door to the private room opened, and five or six bodyguards escorted Ashley Bowen out.
They undoubtedly became the center of attention. All the customers in the restaurant looked over at them with curiosity.
Ashley Bowen sighed to herself. 'That's Morgan Sinclair for you. To dare and kidnap someone right here in Imperia, on someone else's turf, and so brazenly, too!'
As she passed the nearest couple, she opened her mouth but made no sound.
Only after they had left did the woman say quietly to her boyfriend, "That woman just now, she mouthed something to me. I think she was asking for help. Should we call the police?"
