She selected a few of the earlier files. The first one she opened showed a scene in the gym, where she was helping Yuri Sinclair with his physical therapy.
She then picked a more recent one. The screen showed herself, wearing white socks as she pushed open the door to the Japanese-style room and stepped out into the garden.
Yuri Sinclair was sitting in his wheelchair, trimming and watering a potted plant.
Her mouth fell open. She had no choice but to accept that the Palace of Concord, her home, was filled with countless hidden cameras.
'How terrifying...'
She covered her mouth, her eyes fixed on Yuri Sinclair's handsome face in the video. A wave of sorrow washed over her, and she felt the urge to cry.
The video then cut to today, to the scene of Yuri elegantly eating lunch. He seemed to be talking to someone, but just as the camera was about to pan to a woman, the feed was cut.
It was only for a split second, but she saw it clearly: a woman was, in fact, having lunch with him.
