Summer's face flushed red as she listened to the crowd.
Meanwhile, Gordon craned his neck and tilted his head back, tugging on Jenson Shelby's clothes. "Mr. Shelby, you have to get the kiss right this time, or I'm going to despise you."
"You little rascal." Jenson Shelby shot Gordon a look. Strangely enough, his words made Jenson feel less nervous.
He tentatively wrapped his arms around Summer, pulling her soft body into his embrace. They were inches apart. Jenson Shelby swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing. He closed his eyes and gently pressed a kiss to her beautiful red lips.
The entire restaurant erupted in thunderous applause, and right on cue, the band began to play the "Wedding March."
The restaurant's head chef personally brought out a dessert of his own design, "Forever and a Day," and presented it to them.
It wasn't a particularly lavish proposal, but to have the blessings of so many people… 'I'm so happy,' Summer thought.
